Yes, but the spells power is weaker as you don't have even basic talent there.
Wiz talent Sorcery: After casting a spell (except mass spell), hero gain turn 10% faster.

Anyone can tell me what is the meaning of mass spell?

Below this battle link: Lizard with 13.3 initiative and my hero 11 initiative.
I use expert sorcery and casted fireball (fireball is mass spell?).

1st turn lizard 1st then my hero.
2nd turn still lizard 1st.
but 3rd turn my hero 1st, it mean fireball is not mass spell?

Hope some expert answer my question :)

Mass-spells are like ''Mass-dispersion'', ''Mass-bless'', ''Mass-poison''.
Those are spells of Holy and Dark-magic schools, all destructive spells are affected by sorcery.
expert sorcery + 11 init , your hero may equal 11/0.7=15.7 init after casting.

like a running race:
your hero reach first 10m with speed 11m/s , need time=10/11=0.909 second
from 10m to 20m with speed 15.7m/s , need time=10/15.7=0.637 sec
from 20m to 30m need 0.637 sec
lizard with 13.3m/s need time=10/13.3=0.752 sec

----------10m---------20m----------30m-------40m .....
---------turn1-------trun2---------turn3----turn4
hero-----0.909s-----1.546s-------2.183s-----2.82s
liz------0.752s-----1.504s-------2.256s-----3.01s

so the order is:
liz , your hero, liz ,hero,hero,liz,hero,liz ....

hey why ice clod is not used by the wizard players more often
they use lightning instead of this

except this it cost less mana
because ice clod deals more damage than Lightning.
With high spell power and chaos magic talent lightning deals more damage and costs less mana. Ice clod is useful in lower levels and when opponent uses cape of winds.
Ice clod dmg, without talents:
30+9*Spell power

Lightning:
11+11*Spell power

With talent, Ice clod becomes even less usefull with high SP:
74+9*Spell power

While lightning is:
17+17*Spell power

Wich brings to Erekose's conclusion ;)
even on lower levels, ice clod does almost as little as lightning. quite often, i get only 3 more damage for 1 extra mana. lightning is the best spell to hit one stack until we get level 4 spells (i think there is a spell armageddon).
i am a lv4 wizard and decided to invest in spell power at first. I have +2 sp and +2 knowledge. However, i seem to rubbish in tournaments. Any idea why or is there a tactic for wizards for tourneys i dont know...

Had a look at your fights in the previous survival tournament.
Some major tips:
For survival on level 4, you need more mana:30 or 40.
The winner wore full arts. he had 9 defense and 3 luck. You had 3 defense and 1 luck. That is a massive difference. Compare your results to wizards with similar arts.
Watch some battles of high ranked players. Look at their troop selection, setup, movement.
Some fights, you just get bad luck: try again later.

Some small tips:
Make sure your golem hits before it gets hit. Try to kill the last enemy unit just before your golem gets its turn. A golem in the middle of the battlefield usually is a dead golem.
There is a list of the different waves in the tournaments section: use it to position your troops for the next wave(s).
When your garg stack can't run, because the last stack(s) is faster, attack or defend. Don't just run or wait. As you already know, it usually is standing in a corner by that time. If you can run, run and kill with wizard.
If you have one slow enemy stack left (zombie or golem), don't kill it right away. Move your troops to a good location first.

And the most important: have fun. If you enjoy survival, you will get better.

they are decent shooters at lv5 and 6
after lv7, they are used to take retal only

2)
only if you are going to play wizard for a very long time and have too much money to spend,otherwise don't upgrade them

3)
max garg
max genius
max magi
golem or gremlin or nothing(not really matter since they would be useless)
imo, engineers r design for might build. u can make their hp>10 .
with good init and morale and attack ,they r better than sk-bowmen .
call them to repair ur morden golems also very useful .
grem engineers have only been good for me on lvl 5 and 6, and then also only in a few fights. generally, its good to stick with gargs (for magic wiz). only at lvl 10 or so you can switch to might build and use grem engineers. but if you want to use gremlins, engineers are much better than normal gremlins.

skel bow number roughly 50~80
gremlin eng number roughly 30~50

we can say that gremilns with mini-arts are better than skel bow


however

lv8 or higher
skel bow =200+~300+
gremlin eng=roughly 50~70

their number is too small to became a good shooter
Wizards are cheaters on lvl 8-9.
P.S. I am wizard. ^_^
yeah lvl 8 and 9 are awesome for a wiz... specially 9 with the treasury building.
number of wiz players is increased . lv10 wiz also good with fireball
