Those quests are hard for knights.
You need to wear arts which increase your initiative.

I Think that these quests were made hard in the recent updates cause when i went away for 6 months last November i was a knight and i could beat these vanguards
the merc qrchers were more in number
or they used to stay alive with more HP
or the grems were a bit less or a bit different in configuration like 4 and 4 each dealing 3 damage |
