i am having 2 puzzles

no 1)
U have N number of Mangoes
if u arrange it by 1 u will have no mangoes mangoes left
and if u arrange it by 2 u will have 1 mangoes left
and if u arrange it by 3 u will have 2 mangoes left
and if u arrange it by 4 u will have 3 mangoes left
and if u arrange it by 5 u will have 4 mangoes left
and if u arrange it by 6 u will have 5 mangoes left
and if u arrange it by 7 u will have no mangoes left

find the N number of mangoes

No 2 )

U have 3 nines i mean 9,9,9

u cant do anything with them but u have to make it number 10

i mean u can do whatever u want.. but u must get the answer number 10...

u too post ur puzzles guys....
u cant do anything with them but u have to make it number 10

sorry guys.... u can* do anything
No 2)

9:9+9=10

Is this what you mean with your question?
whats do u mean zleiko ? ?
U have 3 nines i mean 9,9,9

u too post ur puzzles guys....

easy... take one nine and divide it by the second then add the 3rd and you get 10

9/9=1+9=10
in no 1 puzzle, i dont understand, what do you mean by arrange?
easy... take one nine and divide it by the second then add the 3rd and you get 10

9/9=1+9=10

thats exactly what I said : 9:9+9=10
if u arrange it by 5 u will have 4 mangoes left
=> 4, 9, 14, 19, 24, 29, 34, 39, 44 ... It ends on a 4 or 9

if u arrange it by 2 u will have 1 mangoes left
Combined with the previous, it can only end with 9

and if u arrange it by 7 u will have no mangoes left
=> 1*49, 2*49, 3*49, ....

if u arrange it by 6 u will have 5 mangoes left
with 49, you have 8*6 and 1 left, with 5 * 49 you have 5*8*6 and 5*1 left

so the answer is 5*49 = 245 mangoes
I'm probably doing your homework..

x - the number we're searching

x= 6a+5= 5b+4 = 4c+3 = 3d+2 = 2e+1

x+1= 6(a+1) = 5(b+1) = 4(c+1) = 3(d+1) = 2(e+1)

x+1 is a multiple of Least common multiple of 6,5,4,3,2 = 60

x+1 = 60*t

x = 60*t -1 = 7*u

t%7 can be 0,1,2,3,4,5 or 6
t = 7w -> 1%7=0 (false)
t = 7w+1 -> (60-1)%7=0(false)
t = 7w+2 -> (120-1)%7=0(true)
t = 7w+3 -> (180-1)%7=0(false)
t = 7w+4 -> (240-1)%7=0(false)
t = 7w+5 -> (300-1)%7=0(false)
t = 7w+6 -> (360-1)%7=0(false)

so t= 7w+2

x= 420w + 119. w can be any number(0,1,2 and so on). x will be 119, 420+119,
420*2+119, etc
eliveran and zleiko ur correct guys....

sven... ur answer is wrong... 245 is wrong... coz if u arrange if 5 u should have 4 mangoes left.....

and mr.white u r correcy.,... post ur puzzles tooo....
common guyz... post something
my Puzzle :
3 mens want to buy an used bike so everyone use 10 ˆ
10 + 10 + 10 = 30

the bike trader gave them a bike for 30 ˆ
the 3 guys left very happy

the bike store owner thinks: 30 ˆ are too much and want to give 5 back

but 5 are not divide to 3 so he own 2ˆ and only gave 3ˆ back

so when everyone get 1ˆ back everyone only pay 9ˆ
9ˆ+9ˆ+9ˆ= 27ˆ + 2ˆ= 29ˆ

so what happend with the 1 ˆ ??
slepnir,
this is not a puzzle it is play of words.
The shopowner was supposed to keep 25 but he kept 2 euro more, arriving at the 27 of 3 times 9, which is correct.

If you count it from the shoppers side, the 2 euro has no value at all.
It is merely a combination of the 3*9 and the 3 euro. which arrives at 30 euro. also correct.

I am not sure what the exact name of this occurrence is, but math geniuses will explain that you cannot make a combination of both of this views, as you must always stay within the vision of one of the sides.

The same will occur when you are calculating in percentages. The percentage value of the shop owner will always differentiate from that of the shopper.

So the answer is, there never was a 1 euro. and therefor no answer to this question.

This is not the perfect answer, but forgot how to exactly explain it.
In the middle of nowhere, right where the road splits into two directions there is a house where 2 twins live. One always tells the truth, the other always lies, otherwise you can't tell which is which. A tourist who knows that one of directions takes him to his destination and that when he'll arrive at the house, only one of the twins will be at home, must ask the twin a single question to determine the right path. What's the question?
<offtopic> EDIT BUTTON!!!!!!!! </offtopic>
*one of THE directions
the tourist knows that one of the twins is a liar and the other one is a truth-teller, but doesn't know to which he'll talk to when he'll arrive at the house.
You point in one direction and ask would your brother say this is the right way. If they say yes it's the wrong way, if the no then it's the right way.
matt____777 you are right.

now for my puzzles.
1. you have 6 jars of pills in front of you and 1 scale.
you are only allowed to use the scale once.
5 of the jars have pills of exactly 1 gram each.
1 jar has pills of 0.9 gram.
again, you are only allowed to use the scale once.
How do you figure out which jar has the pills of 0.9 gram each?

2. you have 9 billiard balls.
1 of the balls does not have the right weight.
you have a scale and are only allowed to use it 2 times.
how do you figure out which of the balls is of the wrong weight?
for mrwhite:
the tourist ask one of those twins,"if i ask your brother about the direction what will he tell me?" and take the other answer.now:
let`s say if the direction was left then the liar will know the truth teller would say left so he will say right.
if you ask the truth teller this question and the direction is still left then he will know his brother would say it is right so he will say right,

and also I am not sure what the exact name of this occurrence but it is a math thingie,you just have to make every thing in numbers :)
for kiwi2:
first it isn`t allowed to post with multi

second:
for #1_6 jars would make the calculation long so i`ll just answer if it was 3 :)
now we take one pill from the first jar,two from the second and three from the third
and scale them
if the scale was 5.9 then then the first jar have 0.9 gram pills
if it was 5.8 then it is in the second jar
if it was 5.7 then it is in the third jar

the principle is the same if it was 6 jar
sorry for multiposting, did not pay attention.

as for abdullah, correct on my puzzle.
