AuthorPuzzles ! ! !
typo :)
you can take the whole from me but have some, and take some from me and have the whole - it isn`t a hole:)
Thanks for pointing that out kiwi, I knew I got something wrong in the second one but wasn't so sure about the first.
The first one should have been:
You remember that the logarithmic series:
log (1
+x) = x - (1/2)x^2 + (1/3)x^3 ...
is valid provided x is greater than -1 or less that or equal to 1.
Now, we put x=1 to get:
log 2 = 1 - 1/2 + 1/3 - 1/4 + 1/5 - 1/6 + 1/7 - 1/8 + 1/9 - ...
Double it:
2 log 2 = 2 - 2/2 + 2/3 - 2/4 + 2/5 - 2/6 + 2/7 - 2/8 + 2/9 - ...
2 log 2 = 2 - 1 + 2/3 - 1/2 + 2/5 - 1/3 + 2/7 - 1/4 + 2/9 - ...
Then, we collect pairs of terms with the same denominator. Now you get:
2 log 2 = 1 - 1/2 + 1/3 - 1/4 + 1/5 - 1/6 + 1/7 - 1/8 + 1/9 - ...
=log 2
Therefore 2 log 2 = log 2, that is, 2 = 1. Neat, isn't it?
TRUE OR FALSE. AND WHY?

You'll notice the series is now correct.
For the second one:
Assume the series 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 ...
Bracketed like this: (1 - 1) + (1 - 1) + (1 - 1) + ...
The answer is 0.
But bracketed like this:
1 + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1) + (-1 +1) + ...
The answer is 1.
Therefore, 1 = 0 !

The second part is now correct.
ChooJeremy,

good hat you fixed them :) however the second one is still incorrect.
as you must end with the same number, or else it is like adding another number to one of the series.

so both need the same amount of numbers. lets say 8, then:
so 1-1+1-1+1-1+1-1
ot
1+(-1+1)+(-1+1)+(-1+1)+(-1)
both of them are 0 :D

For the log on, I haven't done those equations for like 10 years now, so cant check it or correct it :P
- how many stone blocks does it needs to complete a pyramids.
0

- person who can walk 2 kilometers per day and needs to sleep for 9 hours a day, what is the time he takes to travel for 3000 kilometers :)
Depends on the vehicle he is taking :P

- on a very sunny day a women(enough with `guy`) freezes to death ,how come?
she accidentally trapped herself in the freezer.

- and for those who are very very good at translating poems :
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

DEATH!!!
for kiwi:
1 - actually it needs only one brick to complete the whole thing :)

2 - well that kinda solves it :)

3 - no,she get`s trapped, true, but in the landing gear of an air plane,30000 feet in the air it is less than 40 degrees under zero :)

4 - i knew this Ends life, kills laughter. would make it easy, the answer is war but death makes it more dramatic so i guess it is true :)
for abdullah:
Sorry, the answer came to me instantly when I read only half of your puzzle. :)
for Pantheon:
well i knew this five arms thing would make it easy, but i still would like to know the answer of you puzzle :)
I guess no one is going to solve my puzzle.

The answer is base 8 math.
Our current numbering system is base 10: 0 to 9.
Binary systems (computers) is base 2: 0 to 1.

Base 10: 10 = 10
Base 2: 10 = 2
Base 8: 10 = 8
abdullah.

1. true, was answering them all quick.

2. :P

3. hehe freezer can do so too :P

4. lies behind stars is not really applicable to war.
As death is, cause the dead souls are in heaven (if you are a christian) and the bodies under the soil. :P. Anyway, i had it after line 3/4. :D

Pantheon, thats a good riddle, but dont think anyone would have got it :P
iPhone = doesn't exist
iPhone x iPhone = less than nothing
iPhone x iPhone x iPhone x iPhone = iPhone

How come? Hunter shirt for the first correct answer. :)
Opps, made a mistake in that puzzle. Should be:

iPhone = doesn't exist
iPhone x iPhone = less than nothing
iPhone x iPhone x iPhone x iPhone = 1Phone
iPhone x iPhone x iPhone x iPhone x iPhone = iPhone
i
i = -1
but then the second row is incorrect.
some funny easy riddles.

1 You throw away the outside and cook the inside. Then you eat the outside and throw away the inside. What did you eat?

2. The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

3. What goes around the world but stays in a corner?

4. Give me food, and I will live; give me water, and I will die. What am I?
i = -1
not really:
i^2 = -1
i=√(-1)=doesn't exist
Sven is right.
i = imaginary number also known as the square root of -1

09-21-10 06:34: Transferred item(s): 'Hunter shirt' [10/10] to Sven91
for kiwi:
1 - i`m not sure of the correct name, but it is the corn stick you take out the shell and heat it up(not into pop-corn) eat the out side and leave the stick :)
