Yep. It's just that at the time of implementation there were very few level 12s, so most players thought that 9 was the highest min AP. |
it used to be 9, but after introducing new weapon for high level it becomes 10.
because min AP is always counted by the best weapon for this level, and Ruby gladius has 10 AP. |
for Pantheon:
min AP bounds to the most powerful weapon, and when the Mithril longsword was the one, min AP for 12+ was 9 AP, because Mithril longsword is 9.
the number of players has nothing to do with that :) |

That's very interesting. I can't prove my point or disprove yours.
But when min AP was introduced, there was no mithril longsword yet and the min AP was still set at 9.
Anyway as of today min AP are as follows:
Level 5: 5 AP
Level 6: 6 AP
Level 7-8: 8 AP
Level 9-11: 9 AP
Level 12-14: 10 AP |

I like to use these 2 sets:
Light mithril coif + light axe + medal of bravery + defender shield
Sword of retribution + medal of bravery + defender shield |
or
ret. sword + defender shiled + medal of bravery + leather helmet + leather armor
but i prefer to wear only ruby gladius + medal of bravery |
or
ret. sword + defender shiled + medal of bravery + leather helmet + leather armor

Is the first one cheapest? Or is the second combination of Pantheon is cheapest? |

Approx. 170 gold.
Light mithril coif + light axe + medal of bravery + defender shield
Approx. 145 gold, or 121 gold without the medal, which already make up 10 AP.
Sword of retribution + medal of bravery + defender shield
Approx. 126 gold.
There is another set listed there with Cape of wind, also 121 gold. |

Did some digging, Mithril longsword and along some other artifacts were introduced on Christmas 2008 - about 10 days after the new rule was announced, few days after it started. :)

i don't argue with that :)
but i bet it was introduced before that on .ru (both rule and sword), so admins knew what they are going to do here.
like it was with TG reform.
on .ru there was an announcement 15 days prior to actual change, and during those 5 days people can fight with caravans on the old small battlefield. when the time was up, new rules took effect about bigger field and TGI from lvl5.
here there was announcement beforehand as well, BUT! the new bigger field was implemented right away, so it was harder to finish your TG lvl here, because of the new size battlefield goes right after the news, not after the actual change, like it was on .ru
when you look at it from now, it seems almost the same. but still it is not.
therefore i think they might raise up min AP first, and give out new gear later. |
