lol doesn't matters - you\re different, but you could stay with your old methods. I'm thinking about thousands of players that can not offer 100 Euro like Modi. They could give a smaller amount exchange for something else. I can see here a golden mine. 2 pounds times 1000 players on this server, in the future maybe more, x 10k on the Russian's. And those ideas had hard roots - I have given you the name of the another game - where they works. Where Admins make nice money. Be smart. Even now if Modi wish make a small gift for someone else - and buy him few diamonds - he can not - why?

Did you calculate how many tournaments you win with them and how much money you get before you hit lvl 12? ;-) | Like Modi and many others, I too have contributed a fair amount of Diamonds to this server. Hundreds in the slightly over 2 years I've been here. The first year I probably spent 85% of my total donations thus far. I intend to donate every year at least 25-50 Euros just to help cover the server costs of 'my' character. I would donate more if...we'll get to that.
Initial reason for donating:
I fell in love with the game--as many others have, and continue to. Unfortunately, the honeymoon phase ended as I learned more about the 'politics' that run this server.
We're 2nd class citizens on .com when compared to players on .ru--that sucks. We've heard many of the most popular excuses as to why that is: Language barriers, fewer players, less money donated here, this is just a side project, etc.
Reasons to donate "post-honeymoon" phase:
1. Enjoyable upgrades/changes. What is enjoyable? No one can satisfy everyone, etc. I understand, but "someone" or a "group of people" with coding abilities should continously read the forums for feed back. This will give them an idea of how changes are impacting the community...and make adjustments as needed.
2. More Diamond benefits. This is real money we're talking about here, and not everyone donates for the sake of the server. Most folks will donate to beef up their accounts. Some a lot, and others less. Either way, give the people more in-game reasons to donate and they surely will (assuming part 1. above is in order, this would be long term donators supplying income to the server). A few folks have mentioned something like monthly perks that you can keep going (like a membership)--this would be something worth exploring.
3. In-game Accountability. This is related to point 1. above, but it is a different aspect. Cheaters need to be punished daily, and there should be a public log of all accounts that are fined/banned available for all to see. This will keep the community honest, and give it a reason to grow. Cheaters ruin the purpose of the game. Why compete with cheaters? Might as well not play. This also would apply to forum mods, and other Empire posts. Everyone should be subject to review if shennanigins are suspected. There are certain 'mods' that don't really do anything more than collect a monthly income...this sort of thing also hurts the game as it further demoralizes the community.
4. More "events" and storyline. Everytime there is a mixed tournament, or major changes/updates to the server, a swarm of players that 'quit' come back to play again. If these sorts of things were to be made more consistent, a lot of players would never take breaks...and would keep checking in. Maybe develop a seperate story line just for .com that differs from .ru, that might further "link" up the two servers together as it would give .ru players a 'reason' to make an account here for a change.
5. Advertising. If I were to see ads for this game in major magazines (if Farmville can do it...come on...) or news venues, that would motivate me to donate some more because I know my monies are hard at work promoting a game I enjoy to play. A game that grows remains online. A game that doesn't--dies.
There are other reasons, but it is late and I have important stuff to do tomorrow. So I'm going to bed. If the Admins were to consider just these 5 big points, I'd be more than happy to supply the rest of my reasons/ideas. Referring back to point 1. -- will this thread even be read by them? Who knows, and that is just plain sick not knowing...but we're working on it.

i bought diamond shrews back on lvl 6, and also some gold to buy arts for a tourny a year ago or so.
i am not currently thinking of spending any more money because the game experience is not as good as it should be. big wars were promised and never delivered, game diversification is not enough (hunting and MG quests? is that all? oh, and TG for 80 euros... almost forgot that one) and for some reason player count does not increase (are you not advertising the server anymore?).
but the worst of all: yesterday i asked in the clan chat what was the bonus for using the entire Tactician Set, and i was directed to the Artifacts Sets page in the russian server. i was overwhelmed with the amount of different arts and sets. it left me sad to know i cannot fight for these here in the international server, and not beeing able to understand a word of russian myself, playing over there is out of the question. i am just left with the feeling we are the "poor cousin" that only gets a few scraps from the true LWM gaming experience that happens in the russian server.
i will spend my money again if the game evolves and becomes exciting (for real, as i imagine happening in the russian server). until then, it will continue to be a game i like to play but... for free. | #26

And I do not regret the purchase, the more so because of the previously saved money on it.. |
