Author | What Faction to change to? |
Hi,
I am Combat lvl6 Faction lvl 5(almost) Elve.
Now i was thinking of changing faction as soon as i reach faction lvl 5. Which faction should i change to ?
Will change faction again when i reach Faction lvl 5 in new faction.
1. I could change to DE.. benefits are no need to change basic parameter(all in att), and its the second most popular faction( so lvl5 here would mean 15% def against more players)
2. Or i could go for a faction which is most powerful at lvl 6,7,8, because i think by that time i would gain faction lvl 5 and move on to a new faction.
3. Or ________________________________ ( fill up the blanks)10 marks.

Regards,
Yuvika. | no u cant transfer faction points of one faction to another ur faction points of elf will remain 5 but if u change into say de then u hav to start again from 0 | Sounds like your plan is to get faction level 5 in all factions.
To make it the easiest I would use the faction level dependent factions such as knights, wizards, and necro first. And then leave DE, demon, and barb last. | for aruish:
I know.
what i am planing is something like --
reach faction lvl 5 as elve...
Change to DE ( or whatever)
Fight a lot of battles...
Reach lvl 5 DE ( so now i am lvl5 elf AND lvl 5 DE)...
Change faction again...
Fight a lot of battles ...
reach lvl 5 in new faction... and so on ...
So the question is ... is it a wise approach ? if so then which should be my next faction?

Yes, something very similar to the way you have developed.
Is it a wise approach(silly que to ask from you since you followed it...but still)... what are the shortcomings ,if any?

Yep, I learned that the hard way after I did the reverse, lol.
Since it seems like you know the benefits, I'll skip that and go straight to the many cons:
1.) It is super expensive. (especially now after the update)
2.) Switching factions makes you quite weak and it won't get any better until after you finish switching.
3.) Thanks to #1 and #2, you will be losing many battles and have to make tough financial choices. | 1.) It is super expensive. (especially now after the update)

I sure hope you are not looking for a career in marketing...lol
Now that i know the worst... i am scared ;)
How long do you think will it take to reach lvl 5 all factions ... Combat lvl 12 ? and all things said... if you were to start again... would you go the same path ?
Thanks,
Yuvika | play the faction you are playing(elf in this case)till at least lv 8(if not lv 10). You 'll have enough accumulated gold by that time, and also better troops(magic guilds etc)to play with.
at lvl 8 you can try switching to DE. play DE 8 & 9
at lv 10 & 11 , can try demon.
at lv 12+ other factions.
just a opinion:) | That's really expensive, you know. And you must also play much Duels/GBs, because hunts will get impossible when you play them too much. If you'd get TGI, playing caravans wouldn't be that hard. They give nice fsp and when you reach lv4 TG, you get your money back.
If you're switching factions often, don't build either any useless buildings (for example, if you're playing might-DE, don't build all mage guilds, same with other classes). And stay without all upgraded buildings (for a Demon lv10, you may not need Spawns and Incends for example). | and when you reach lv4 TG, you get your money back.
I assume that it is level 5 - 200 more wins are needed.

This highly depends on the individual player and amount of free time he has.
and all things said... if you were to start again
1 character is enough for me. No, I won't start again on anything.
would you go the same path ?
But if it was my 1st character again, no I wouldn't go the same path.
A.) I would play 1-2 factions only.
B.) I would actually do multiple factions correctly. I switched factions at high level and played the factions in the wrong order. I also made it a lot harder on myself with how I did my combats. I would also do my finances quite a bit differently too.
career in marketing
You were asking about the shortcomings for multi factions. I also hate marketing. Not that I'm bad at it or anything, but all the lies and deceit it involves. | is it a wise approach?
Definitely if you are going to do a lot of PVP's and group battles but not that wise if you are seeking for records and stuff.
It's like instead of getting 100% in one subject and 0 in others, you are trying to average out 50% in all! :) | for Arghmage:
Okay, didn't remember it :)
Anyways, when playing caravans with min-AP, you get nice fsp, thief arts, some gold from succesful ambushes and TGI... | If you're switching factions often, don't build either any useless buildings (for example, if you're playing might-DE, don't build all mage guilds, same with other classes). True... i will keep that in mind ... thanks !

A few days ago i saw your profile and was impressed!, so you kind of inspired this track of thinking in me :)

A lot of very useful advices.. Thanks all of you for taking time in answering to help me out.
One last favour.. last?... well, one more favour ...
So, as i understand i have 2 choices --
1. I stick to 1 faction, keep enrolling for a couple of years (pretty boring) And then with the money saved I buy a TGI ( pretty exciting )
OR
2. I keep trying out new factions (pretty exciting) but am unable to afford a TGI (sad).
If you were in my shoes, what would you do ? | @14
I'm already in the same situation, and I chose the first option! ;)
Cause' according to me, once I get a TGI, I will be relieved! :) But if I keep changing factions, I'll have the TGI regret in the back of my mind. . . . Any ways, if its just for fun, then that's why alternate chars r meant for! xD | well all factions are good
at lvl 8 knights are most powerfull but they suck without fsp
so u can choose de coz they doesn't need much fsp ;) | #14
I would recommend TGI and 2 factions. Ideally it's best to have TGI, all factions, be able to play all the tournaments/events, and wear full arts; but you just won't be able to unless you have tons of diamonds.
If you want to play all the factions, it's best to use the alts to try them out. Even among multiple faction characters, they rarely have all their castles up to date and not missing buildings left and right.
The reasons behind my recommendation:
TGI: low to mid level not recommended; but if you intend on reaching high levels this is recommended for both the bonus and it's ability to get you good fsp. (hunts and mercs would easily become too hard in higher level).
2 factions: it's easier to build fsp with TG. Although castles are expensive, with good financial sense you should be able to afford a 2nd castle and that TGI.
7 factions: Level 14 castles cost ~1 million gold each. This is 7 million gold total. This number is achievable, but I would not recommend players to even try to achieve this high networth. | 14:
You can simply enroll, play and have fun. You can use lvl-up moneys of lv13 and 15 to get TGI, or for example, sell elements and collect money with them. Roughly said, about 1000 Merc Quests will give you the amount of elements required. And if we think you do... 20 quests per day, you'll get that amount in 50 days.
Ofc, those quests will get too hard for you after you've done them like 300-500, but you can try to save money you already have, level yourself up with money you get from enroll (GBs, Duels, Tournaments... Survival Tournament also gives some profits if you get a good result..), save MG-elements and reach lv13. Then sell elements, use those 200k you already have + 250k you get from lv13 and then you have TGI.
There are many other ways too, but I think that's the easiest. | Don't change factions often unless you got VERY good financial status or else you end like me ..... D': |
