You may browse the Clans section of the forum and see whether there is a clan to your liking.
Being a member of a clan gives no obvious privileges, it is just a group of members that are united in some way. It may be nation (German clan) or a group of interests (Tolkien fan ring) or just a group of players who want to play the game together (minAP duel clan). (All those clan names are for the sake of example, they don't really exist)
Some clans may become military. Military clans will have more gameplay options in future, like controlling the Empire territory and battling each other for influence; taxing taverns, facilities and storages on those territories, castle battles etc. However, all those are no more than plans at the moment. | | So, you are definitely planning siege battles: sounds great!
