Whats happened to production?

AuthorWhats happened to production?
How come "Estates" have run out of resources to make weapons?

I've been waiting 2 days to buy a sword of might, surely "common" items should be readily available.

Are players manipulating the markets or are the figures just not adding up re:- workforce on the server? either way this is a huge turn off to all but the most die-hard of players and needs addressing ASAP for the good of the game.
1. They are called facilities or factories. Estates are completely different things.
2. Supply and Demand. The sword of might factory has low production due to the fact that few players sell resources to it. You can wait for the workshift to end and try to buy a sword before someone else does.
Ah, yes. The factories at the Ridge of Hope... There is a reason they aren't getting any Nickel or Steel, and that is because the price is better everywhere else. You actually make a loss of (at least) 1 gold per steel when you're selling it to the Blacksmith of might.

Thus, most player hold on to their steel and try to sell it at other factories instead.

The sword is really good, and the idea is that enough players need it, so they have to sell steel there to make the swords. So you're encouraged to pick up Steel and Nickel and sell it to the factory. People will work there to create swords, but you better be ready to buy them fast because other people are in your position as well. ;)
Or buy sword on market...
Just a personal opinion -

While the economic structure should determine the supply and demand of arts, something's just not right with the economy mechanism if certain combat level (7-8 in this case) players can't buy 'basic necessities' needed to compete on an equal footing in battles such as Survival etc.

At the moment of writing, there are only 3-4 SoMs with full dura in the market. Surely that's insufficient to satisfy all the players who wants, and needs, to buy the sword to compete equally with others who owns one.
for Jedi-Knight:
The current economic structure utilizes the (black)market for appropriate pricing of items that are short in supply.

The economy mechanism would work better if some (if not all) of the following things are dynamic (responses to supply/demand):
Facility wages
Facility selling prices
Facility buying prices
Facility work slots

Supply wouldn't be an issue if those factors aren't static.

Currently to fix shortage problems like the SoM factory, the admins will routinely adjust numbers, so no facility problem goes too far.
