| What is mean by " select one of your 4 primary parameters to upgrade"? |
Primary parameters are Attack, Defence, Spell power and Knowledge.

You will see a +(1) next each paramaeter, up to you to choose one and click on + |

Every time you level up, you get +1 Parameter Point which you can allocate to Attack, Defence, Spell power and Knowledge..
There are other ways to get Parameter Points, and stat bonus to boost your army. Look here to familiarize yourself -
