you didn't set troop
when the demon ambush you monk will be given
the number of monk according your combat level |
Thats what happens when you put your recruiting to 0 units.
you get monks equal to your combat level, so in your case 7 monks.
(same thing happens if you travel without troops and another player ambushes you) |

I wanted to add that your lost your recruitment because you had rally as a talent first (this talent gives extra troops) but because you changed talents (and had no longer rally) your troops were automatically reset to 0.
So next time you switch talents (with rally) make sure you do not forget to do the recruiting :) |
