-1 does it really hurt that much to pay an extra 3 to 4 gold buying it on the market XD
Atheros, the economy is part of the game. If you don't like, go make some money off it. Then you'll like it :)
does it really hurt that much to pay an extra 3 to 4 gold buying it on the market

Yes it does! If you buy 1 or 2 pieces you don't feel the difference, but if you need to buy 10 or 20+ to replace your arts, those extra 3 or 4 gold per piece add up quickly!

The resource hogs who rob other players of their hard-earned money are cheaters IMO. Admins should do something quickly to stop this disease from crippling the game's economy.
Cheaters? Really? How are they "robbing" people? If they want it at the facility prices, then go and BUY it. I know its not that difficult, even if your connection isn't perfect. I ran out of wood so I went to EB sawmill when the shift ends, and was able to buy 20 FIVE times. And then 17 the last time. A connection good enough to load the battles should be able to get something off that. Around 250 wood was produced. And my money is just as hard earned as anyone else's.
If nobody buys the ressourcers and arts from the market, then the prices will fall because of those selling want to get rid of the things.

As long as there are people who want to pay the prices the arts/ressources are put at the market at, the prices will stay high.

In my opinion it is a bigger problem when empire starts putting/removing gold/ressources in the mines. That is purly destroying the market economics.
26: Agreed. Maybe adjust wages or work slots, but they shouldn't just flood the market with resources. It's a short term fix that makes the problem worse when the resources run out.
Xerfer: In any RL economy, governments step in to break up monopolies. In this case, the admins are the government and they should step in to break up the monopoly and stop the rising inflation in the game's economy. This practice is called "price gouging." Charging people excessive prices for items they should be getting for cheaper. You clean out the facilities and then inflate the prices in the market to make a quick buck off the rest of the game community. You might not be breaking any game rules, but that does not make it right.
this is not a monopolie there are many people selling this stuff not one person when there is only one guy selling it then its a monopolie
luke: Even if there are multiple people selling the stuff, it is still a monopoly of sorts as the only way to buy ore right now is to buy from these greedy people in the market and they all charge more for the stuff than the facilities do. The admins need to refill the mines and tweak the production rates to prevent future shortages.
I just bought 15 ore at 180 a piece from the market. So all i hear from Javi is crying because you aren't active enough to get what you need.

And you can't compare this situation with a monopolie. As long as there are more than one who is selling an item there isn't a monopolie. Unless they have agreed to sell at the same price. And as far as i can see that isn't happening.

So as i wrote in #26. If you just have patience the prices will drop, and you will be happy again.

Smaskir
As others have said, it's by no means a monopoly.

And I'm not selling the _one hundred seventeen_ wood I got from the facility on the market. Why? Because I'd make a profit of 1 gold per piece. I'd rather hang on to it. Look, if I can buy from the facility _six_ times after the shift ends, you can too.

And of course the market prices are higher than the facility. Would you rather they have to sell for the same? Then you would never get any of it, since no one except would sell!

Also, there is no shortage. There are hundreds of resources on the market. I'd hardly call that a shortage.

As for the idea of administration continually refilling the mines, it only delays the problem. Tweaking production rates and wages is OK, but since there is no shortage, why should they?
Haha, this topic is funny. People complain about the market prices of wood and ore.. Sure, thats one thing. Nobody can say the market prices arent 3 or 4 gold over the prices you can buy at facilities. But to call the sellers greedy? ha. Please think about what you are saying. You look at it and you think oh thats ridiculous im not spending 3 gold extra on that ore.. Okay makes sense, so at this point maybe your a little mad. This is the step all of the people here complaining are at. They sure overthought it, didnt they? Well how about we take into account that the production facilities pay about 185-186 for ore. One or 2 gold over the facility price. So if they hadn't put the gold on the market, they would have sold it for 186. That makes 186 a reasonable low point on the market.. So why aren't they selling for 186? those greedy kids.. Well there is a 10% taxation to the empire for selling. 10% of 186 is 1.86 gold, which is near 2. so add another 2 gold and your at your "safe amount" where you can sell to those obnoxious buyers who think people are greedy for selling at 188 and decide to buy each ore one at a time to make sure you get the least gold possible... right now on the market i see tons of ore for 188.. Not happy with that? go to the facility YOURSELF instead of depending on other people and being mad at them for selling it at a reasonable price where they get ONE OR TWO extra gold for taking the effort to be in locations at certain times and buy the resources so that YOU can have access to them for your castle constructions or whatever it is you want it for, and one or two more gold to cover the taxation fee and to make it worth putting the ore on the market rather than selling it to production facilities(keep in mind this is ignoring the "effects" on production facilities, steel, nickel, etc. That is redundant in this scenario because it is assuming the reason players are buying off the market is for castle constructions<--only reason i can think of, rather than to buy off the market and sell to facilities, which doesnt make sense for players from an economical stand point) Anyways, i find it annoying to wait for players to buy ore off the market for that extra 1 gold i'd get... especially when they dont buy bulk.. so i just sell to the facilities when i buy it..

But really.. Think logically.. Who is greedy, the person who is taking the time to travel all across the map, waiting for production times, then waiting for players to buy those products, or the person who thinks the OTHER people should do all that, then put it on the market cheap so that THEY can buy it while the person who actually DID WORK doesn't make any profit?

Wow that was long :D

So whose being
If you buy 1 or 2 pieces you don't feel the difference, but if you need to buy 10 or 20+ to replace your arts, those extra 3 or 4 gold per piece add up quickly!

Precisely as you said. So, if you boost the production of ores and woods, many people can buy them in large quantity. After that, they can use it to buy whatever artifacts they desires.

But wait, there is a CATCH, this will eventually lead to a new problem:

By boosting the production of ores and woods,

Everyone can now buy resources, everyone can buy arts BUT now the GOLD becomes a LIMITATION.

Then next we will be telling the admins that we want a increase in WAGES....

Which in turn, NOW causes many people to have enough gold to buy more resources. UNFORTUNATELY, the ores and woods are limited AGAIN, so AGAIN, we asked the admin to boost the production of ores and woods.........

A never-ending economic cycle which will definitely leads to INFLATION!!!

So -1 to this idea.
I have to say -1 to this.

But I would suggest that a restriction be put in place so every player would only be able to buy, say, 40 resources at the end of a shift. For example, I go to a sawmill that ends its shift at 19:40. I will only be able to 40 wood until the end of this shift at 19:40.
-1 I'd rather say close the topic. Great Capital has 321 wood:P and ore will be restored soon enough too. It was because of the event and now it over
Oops!I am one of them.I sold 1 SoM for 38k. But don't get angry over me.You don't know what all I did to get 1 piece.I sold a lot of iron and nickel to the factory at loss, even buying iron for 752.I spend 2 days doing this , facing losses due to my slow connection but finally I got one.By that time the deamon event was about to be over.So I decided to sell it.Many a times I put offers for 33K-35K but no body brought. But one day someone bought it at 38K, lol.

You should put your effort.Spend more time into the game, wait at production facilities and try to buy them.Don't get disheartened by falure. Also speaking about ore&wood facilities, see the enrollment rate there.

you are one of the resellers that are making the game worse
Thats true.In real life, it is somewhat a crime. But in this game, you can't say that he is a bad player to do it.Thieving is legal here.So is market trading.Thats the most confusing part about this game .You cannot compare everything with real life.In real life there is an aim- live and let live and we can say that a thing is good or bad with respect to it.But in game the aim is different.Earlier before realising this , I too had fought against TGI resellers. But I didn't have any problem with art sellers and I have never bought an art from market.I would always wait at factories. But this was not the case of TGI- there are only a few of them and after every cycle, price should increase bcause of tax.

No its not. It is just a normal situation whereby many people buying arts and causing the depletion of resources.
