I think if one has a modicum of respect about free speech, threads outside of trade forum should only be allowed to be closed by Mods.
It is childish for someone to start a provocative thread, deliberately bait people, and then close it. All it does is make someone start the same thread again to respond, or wander to another thread to respond, or start another thread.
I would call this idea, my anti troll idea. |

Playing the innocent Moro? I think anyone who was around during the polygon thread knows Arctic is not that quick to close baiting or flaming threads. His willingness to allow them has made this thread possible.

Since I have been brought to this thread by you and nobody removed your post, I will take the opportunity to tell you why I closed each of those threads, and others before them.
Fishy and/or his pal Grunge, have been stalking each thread I open, flaming and baiting until bans are tossed out and posts deleted, pretty much ruining the thread's flow to the reader.
I have enough threads to prove what I am saying and it is interesting that BEFORE I posted the above thread you listed, I contacted Jedi and told him who would be coming there to troll. Well wouldn't you know it, old Grunge shows up and begins his task of veiled insults that he and Fishy use.
Now when I can pick out from among many on the server, who it is that will come to my thread with negative comments BEFORE I even create it and be right, it is evidence of forum stalking/trolling.
They ruined my last two threads as well and others are well aware of what has been going on. It's all good to me because I am able to lock threads and separate the cases of stalking.
Don't believe me, ask Jedi or even Arctic.
I actually don't mind all of this because it's fun to watch them swarm to attack as soon as an Uncle Modi thread appears. Who controls who? :P
This is also the reason Fishy made this post. He wanted to call me childish but couldn't do it directly. |

@7. See it how you wish. One interpretation is stalking, another is you are trolling and know you'll get a bite.
If you post ideas to change the game, the people in the forum who post lots, like myself and Grunge, will have an opinion. You and I have quite differing world views. The PM sequence between you and I that you initiated, shows that.
So most of the times we are both posting in a thread, we will have different opinions. If you see that as stalking, get over it. I don't cry stalking every time you or one of your cronies responds to something I've written. I guess I'm not that precious.
We both know who can stop this dance if he wishes to and has chosen not to. He obviously likes this forum conflict. |
