The answer to this is so obvious. If other nuts grow underground as well, then they are groundnuts. But, the fact that they don't, means that they can't be groundnuts. Why do they grow underground? Because they are GROUNDnuts :P
How did drinking straw got its name?
Well, such a thought-provoking question deserves a specialized experiment. Fill a medium-sized drinking glass with a beverage of your choice to half-full. I would recommend fresh juice for best results, chilled preferably. Next, get a drinking straw and suck the liquid through the straw using your mouth. This should slowly reduce the amount of liquid in the glass. Don't rush through it, relax and enjoy. Notice the cool sensation in your throat? Well, sorry, that's got nothing to do with the experiment. Anyways, drink till glass is empty, BUT continue sucking through the straw. Do you hear anything? Yes, you should be listening to a distinct sound, something like "hruuuthhhhppp", which is something like "sttrrwwwww". So, there you have it, your answer. =)

Well, nobody said you can't call them insidewear, beneathwear, innerwear, belowwear, interiorwear or posteriorwear. It's all a matter of choice. Though, don't blame me if people looks at you funny :)
