AuthorHow is roulette so addicting?
Just curious because people spend ALL their gold on roulette. What's so addicting about it? Imagine if this was real life. By the way, I am not trying to criticize, sorry. I was just really curious.
Why do people go to casinos? They're made so that in the long run, you're guaranteed to lose money. In fact, you have better chances here than in RL, yet so many people gamble in RL as well.

I would say the reason is that there is a very great appeal to "get rich quick" - by placing 5000 gold on number 32, and if it's right, earning 180000 gold.
boh
1 - they bet once to try get some money
2 - if they lose go to point 3 if they win go back to point 1
3 - they bet again to try to recuperate the lost gold
if they lose go to point 4 if they win go back to point 1
4 - they bet the maximum that they can for many times
-if they win at this point(normally they bet on one number more than 10k gold at once) they get really reach and they go back to point 1 aswell to gain more gold and all times they are not carefull with the won gold and waste it on inutile things in game (when they don't work hard for the gold in this game they don't appreciate it)/// if they lose , they are ruined like some players that have more than 1-2 milions deficit in roulette : they sell everything they have at lower prices that they bought and try the roulette again till htey make a lot of loans ,don't repay them back and get multed and maybe blocked too
or some players like vepacha and me just keep betting and winning:D
knightslayer is 100% right.
And its practically the same psychological devaluation of money as we can see in real life.

You bet and bet and bet, then you steal some, sell your TV, etc., to bet some more, when you win once in a while, you spend it immediately for various things, you buy a car, drink, party, and few days after, you are back where you began.

Thats why you rarely see even those who win a lot in roulette with some highly positive cash.
Roulette bets total: 449,371
Roulette winnings total: 446,648
yea he is 100% right and experienced of it ;>

yes, some people has huge amount of luck
its not luck once you win a couple of times and get about 300k theres a high chance till you get 0 gold to win again...
you can win if you play well
you can win if you play well
As Albert Einstein said: “You Can't Beat A Roulette Table - Unless You Steal
Money From It...” it means there is no betting or mathematical system that can win at roulette over the long-term. There are two ways: cheat or own roulette

Well first thing is that i am not Albert Einstein...
Secondly i am doing it and now don't ask me how...and if you think i am lying then so be it...
It is definitely luck.

When someone shows me roulette bets of 1 million or higher, and winnings at least double of the bets, that's when I'll start wondering if there is a way to win.

If you know how to win, then you should always pick the right number and so you should have winnings of 30 - 36 times your bets.
This has turned from a question regarding the addiction to roulette to a discussion topic for roulette haha...

To answer your question to the best of my ability, the reason roulette is so addictive for someone like me is the thrill of a win. You start off with say 19k gold when you place your winning bet, and then all the sudden you click map to go enroll or hunt etc. and BAMB at the top of your screen you see a nice little number like 220k... Then, even though you have more gold than you know what to do with (okay, over-exageration for this game haha), you are willing to do anything to get that thrill of winning again, so even though you KNOW you are losing gold, you cant help but to click the little bet button over and over again until before you know it you are selling your own artifacts just for one more round... and then (this has happened to me once or twice) just as you sell your last 8k worth of arts BAMB you win again teehehehehehe.. and the process keeps repeating itself depending on how lucky you may be...

And i can tell you from experience the only way ive found to quit this addiction is to, 1. Know another rouletter that you are friends with who is also quitting... it helps when you arent the only one thats gonna be dissapointed if you bet again... and more importantly, 2. Chill with 0 gold for a couple months. Man, is that a blast.....
Haha, it did turn into a discussion topic for roulette, but I enjoyed the discussion anyway. It was very helpful just in case I want to bet anything in roulette. Thanks for all the tips.
I dont know about some player like vepacha or coolahed winning so much, luck or some tricky in roulette, but i have some tips for u from my experienced.
Firstly, roulette is dangerous, u easy lost all of ur money so dont play it is the best thing.
2nd, if u can accept risk, play it. Get a gold number target. Example, i had a target to reach about 1 milion (include enroll and roulette) to buy TGI, so when i reached it, i dont play anymore.
3rd, enroll and earn about 50-100k depend on how much u bet on roulette each time.
4th, go to http://eng.witchhammer.ru/roul/roul.php?spin=120 to searching some numbers that didnt land on in so much time and bet on it with fixed gold each time till it land on. Example, number 0 didnt land on in 18 hours, so i decided bet on it till land on. It require much gold so i told u earn much money in step 3.
Remember, it's is a tip. In my case it not alway win immediately, depend on luck, but make me acceptable winning rate.
And the most importan, when reach target, stop play. It take many time and dangerous :)
Good luck.
It's strange to hear someone here ask why something is so addictive. If you play this (LWM) game, and you've invested more than 50 hours in it, you are already an addict. We all are. I know that this game is really, really, really, really bad for me, but I don't know why I keep coming back to it.
Not really a game-question. Therefore I will close it.

I suggest you seek out a real-life proffesional psychiatrist if you want a full answer. Preferably one with gaming-addiction as a speciality.
