Nice catch with the griffins. I never seen that before. Anyone know when that was added? Also that ability isn't listed here:

As for Polycephaly that's just a renaming of the spray abilities (cerberi and hydras) around 6 months ago. |

From the original game HOMM V all griffins are immune to blind, but you are right the text had been added :

So about your question, the answer is yes. Upgrade may come without official annoncement.
