Freely flexible erudition

Let's say I am a level 9 elf, and I choose as my talents basic erudition and basic morale + rally. All of troop numbers are set how they are, and I've put the two points from erudition into Attack. Then I have a combat where I want to put those points into Kn. Instead of being able to keep my talents the same, I have to reset them, which means my troops are reset as well.

It would be nice if I could reset the erudition from the home page, without having to disturb the makeup of my troops in the process. This is doubly so since I will have to reset them yet again when the combat is over, so I can put those 2 points back into Attack.

This may seem trivial, but if I am doing numerous combats in rapid succession, it becomes tedious to re- and reset my talents each time I want to change the erudition points, even though I am keeping the exact same talent setup.

While your suggestion is reasonably sensible, until anything will be done about it (read "eternity"), I suggest to you a roundabout in using some scripts that saves the recruitment of your troops. Then you can load up the army setup in one single click.
