Most of the players in this server are playing as might build hero. Wouldn't it be good to have more magic based player in the game, as it would introduce more diversities in the game play (which I consider good)?
There are many reasons why magic build is not an option for people. One of the reason is the fact that magic build hero is very weak in PvE (aside from wizard of course). The only thing that makes wizard so strong in hunt is because they have bonus spell damage, i.e., their spell damage against neutral creatures is increased based on their faction level.
My suggestion is for admin to implement the same bonus spell damage for the rest of factions. This would indeed promote magic build for non wizard players. My arguments for this:
- It didn't affect the balance of power in the PvP area, something that is quite sensitive for most players. The change is only in hunt.
- Encourage people to try new builds and promote diversities in the game, which will make it more interesting.
- Doesn't mean to steal wizard racial ability, as their original racial ability is the mini-arts. The bonus damage is there to make sure that wizard can still hunt without the need to resort to might build (in my opinion of course :p).

I see ther title 'promote magic faction' and i'm thinking oh no here we go again. But I actually quite like what you're suggesting. I mean firstly it makes magic factions viable for pve which is ok, it doesnt make mage faction any stronger really overall where it matters in PvP. As for non chaos and barbs feeling out well I say tough _____. However I feel that if this was the case the bonus should be toned down. We don't want all factions to employ the stupid hit and run tactics for hunt hitting 1000s of damage with chains. |

That will discourage this idea. The point is to encourage magic build but if magic arts are more expensive, people will stick to might. Also, it's unfair to wizards if magic arts are more expensive. Might and magic arts should cost about the same. |
Idea is good for DE and demon (and in future dwarf).
For others increasing the effect/duration for dark/holy builds and considering spellpower higher when casting nature spells in PvE would work.
But what about barbarians?
Should their hero attack damage be higher in PvE?
Or increase stunnig blow effect?
Maybe extra attack for whole army?
Or make them underpowered in PvE at higher levels? |

yes but this would get rid of the wizard faction ability because more damage is their ability, so giving de and demon the same ability would mean no-one would play wizard |

This is not quite so... making a faction very good in hunt, it WILL affect it's performance in pvp area. For the simple reason that that faction will be able to hunt more, hence increase its hunt guild level more than other factions of the same combat level.
Hunt guild gives attributes which inadvertently do affect pvp area. |
for naviron: HG gives Attack which is useless for magic build..so it won't affect PvP that much. |
for sry: it isnt useless ! if you are a demon mage or DE mage attack still makes a difference E.G so their troops do more damage |
