| I received exact same message and after reading forum posts decided to take a look at the website. Norton 360 immediately picked up the website as a phishing scam so it may be trying to collect more info than just what is entered into it. |

So DuskCarnivore, based on your logic why should companies like Symantec or McAfee even bother to warn people of viruses and scams or create software to warn of them?
Your saying let the public make mistakes due to lack of knowledge instead of trying to inform the public when there is a scam going on in an effort to prevent it?
I would think the intent of this thread by Trifles-V2 is to get the word out so people won't fall for this scam and keep it going through the message sending feature that is built into it. Better to inform people of what's going on then to let them be victimized by a scam which can be prevented with a little information. |

People already know that telling someone their own bank-account, visiting questionable porn-sites and other simple things can cause trouble.
I wonder why they don`t consider anything when they get strange invitations with lots of profit promised and tip their personal information.

Scams and viruses are completely different things.
Not to fall for a scam you need a very small amount of basic logic. If someone writes a good virus, it can wreak havoc until the companies update their antivirus programs, and there's nothing you can do about it. Except not to visit the suspicious site. >Obviously.<
I would delete and block that message for the horrendous, dreadful english alone, which makes it so more obvious that it's a scam. I must say i agree, whoever lost their passwords that way have absolutely no one to blame but themselves. |

i dont think so, when ever i enter a phishing site, my Anti virus block those sites and warn me.
its good if you increase the security level of your Anti-virus little bit higher than normal when you are in online. |
