| Wow . I know exactly how you feel . That exact same thing happened to me in elves vanguard. But I guess it is fair . I mean look at their troops. |

| Mercenary quests are generally difficult for level 5 players. |
Certain mercenary quests you can actually do . I found knight vanguard the easiest. I think barbarian vanguard is easy too but you need good positioning. I made a small holes for the shrews to come out and attack but instead it just rushed to them and got itself killed.
If I were you , I'd look up combat logs of vanguards (0) of each faction ( or find the troops and who you have to protect) or if you want to play safe , just do conspirators. |

Luck of the draw. Just play more of them and some will be shockingly easy...others will not be winnable no matter what you do.

Hey , you could put you'r swordmen before the archer.
Their shield is large , so they block arrows easily !
And in that way , you gain extra time to kill their archers ! ^^

This problem can happen with some factions like, necro,knight,wizz without master grem, DE, demons.
It's depends about ur initiative, and some times ur lucky to get first turn, but always try get better initiative when you gonna do this vanguard.
