Honeymoons don't last forever...
Same could be said for losing..
Intentional losing of PVP battles is considered as a bad sportsmanship and is punishable.
Because of the above rule, u can only lose in hunts and MGs and maybe thieves guild battles..
And most wont lose easy hunts which also happen..
Most early levellers wont try MGs.
And You need to have a TGI for losing to Caravans..
You cant keep losing forever, can you? |
You don't have to lose intentionaly in duels, most people play good and all you need is one little mistake to lose. |
for krutoy:
If you make that one little mistake intentionally, it is still illegal.. right? |
i dunno why people do intentinal lose in duel or gb!!where is the excitement?and most of all why we r playing this game then?the time it will take for you in losing journey is actually more than winning journey.that ethereality guy started his game around 2 and half year ago.i cant imagine how boring his life can be.enjoy the game, thats why we r playing this game.if u enjoy by losing then it's your choice i think. |
I dont think that making a mistake intentionally is illegal..but its a shame to a player himself if he does so..
Have ppl forgotten that there is something called "HONOUR" ? |
for Gangstarr:
But if you have a higher faction level than anyone else, that matters
but if you purposefully lose all the time then your fsp ratio won't matter :P |
all you need is one little mistake to lose
and IF it'll be proven to be an intentional mistake and furthermore there will be discovered tons of 'similar' duels/PVP battles in your combat log you might find your character blocked for constant bad sportsmanship. now you tell me, is that fsp ratio worth taking that risk?
there are some situations when you have to lose like for instance you when you have won too many battles in TG and your caravans became too strong for you to defeat them even in fullarts + some enchanted weapons, in such a case, yes, you will have to weaken them by losing to them until you will be able to withstand them and have a chance to win once again. but that's a routine we (thieves) all go through on a daily basis. i'm not saying i'm a huge fan of losing and weakening those caravans but hey, what else do i do in order to continue developing that guild? i have no other choice except for weaking those caravans so i could win in the future.
and the PVP battles is a whole other story. your opponents woun't become weaker if you lose to them intentionally and much more you'll spoil fun not only for yourself but for other players as well participating in such a 'giveaway' combats, so that is why it's against the law. |
but if you purposefully lose all the time then your fsp ratio won't matter :P
of course you not going to lose forever. on you get good fsp (better than most on you level) then go ahead and kill everyone. |
oh and i dont understand, why does losing give better stats than winning? |
Losing does not give better stats, it gives a better ratio of fsp/exp, but both fsp and exp gain are lower than they would be if you'd win.
I hope, my sentence can be understood:) |
don't care about winning or losing. if u think u played well be satisfied with that. |
for akz:
that's what i meant by "stats" |
why does losing give better stats than winning?
like akz mentioned above it does not provide u with better stats or anything like that, it just provides u with a better fsp/exp ratio. it was designed to provide those players who don't play very well a better chance of winning in the future by gaining additional fsps much earlier than those players who play better and who ultimately win more. but this system was perverted by some maniacs like ethereality and people like him who could've played well enough to win but intentionally lost more battles to gain some additional advantage over other players keeping their combat levels as low as they possibly could to gain even more advantage over the others in the future. that's sick and that's perverted if u ask me. that's any example of why greed is NOT good because it's perverted and abnormal. |
Actually i don't really care about winning or losing, but if you really want to losing for gaining fsp, maybe you can try this :
Doing MG quest only with min AP, if you reach max like 10 vanguard or 12 conspirator or 15 invader or brigande quest (This is on level 12), you will reach nice fsp and xp combination even you lose but you must do the best you can do, not intentionally lost
see my battle log about conspirator quest : 2000 xp with 0,5 fsp
note : this is not working on monster quest
maybe this can usefull. GBU |
No offense Mr. Unstoppable, but I think the system is not well designed. There is no incentive to win, except feeding one own's *ego*... but you'r put at a disadvantage if you win... There is nothing to gain, except boosting the ego. So to enforce a nonsense, it was dictated to be illegal... At least that's my view!
One can't blame the people for taking advantage of a *wrong* system. How could they be sick, perverted and abnormal for making a long-term strategic character-development decision... in a strategy (long-term character development) game?
I'm not promoting this behavior, but I think it's a loophole in the "conception", and rather than bashing and slamming those who take advantage of the loophole, it better give a good motivation for winning, and make it a coveted reward for one to use best tactics in winning every combat, other than: "It's illegal to not do your best to win" |
i agree with naviron. can you blame people if they want to lose? |
I dont mind what everyone do with his/her account, loose or win.
But I dont find the fun in loosing and loosing again.
After 2 years and 3500 battles fought Im level 12 and I found lost of fun in this game.
If after 2 or more years , more than 5000 gaming hours and more than 4000 lost battles you are still CL 3 you will be the richest and more fsp skilled in the game but most probably you get bored of this game before you can find the real fun that in in my opinion comes after CL 9 and more fun as you level up to CL 10 , 11 , 12 .... |
I mean lots of fun not lost of fun , sorry :) |
|
better give a good motivation for winning, and make it a coveted reward for one to use best tactics in winning every combat
