the hunt appeared again (Twilight dragons (16))
any idea for Recruiting?
fast and incediaries (17 suc/ 79 i/ 2 sp /9 wol / 6 hh)
or
strong melee (8 suc/ 79 i/ 5 sp/ 25 wol/ 6hh)
or
fast and spawns (14 suc /3 i/ 50sp/ 34 wol/ 6hh) |
Am I right, that knight and DE is easy to beat for a lvl10 demon, barbs and elfs (and mostly wizards) are though to beat in PvP max AP? (I cannot see it properly because I have DE level3, so I have some immunity against them) |
for xakno: twilight dragons are always hard, i would definatly take full hell horses and probably also full wolfs, i think its best to do the strong melee recruitement, maybe bit less incendiaries and bit more wolfs, i guess u'l be alright :),
for akz: wizards are always hard to beat, for almost every faction at level 10:).
i also get defeated by elves, but itss possible to defeat barbs with right tactics, i would recommend alot of incendiaries and full hell horses, about 5 spawns divided in 2 groups, 2 groups of cerberi, at least 30, and low succubi.
you should maybe try to use the talent striving speed, though you'l need 2 knowledge, and 2 spell power as primary points for it and then cape of magical power which will give you a total of 20 mana and 4 turns of speed, which can be casted 2 times. U'l need some money to switch back between that and just melee for the potion of oblivion
good luck both :) |
thnks agent
i did again mistakes :(
another time... |
for akz: what makes u think that demons can easily beat dark elves? isnt it the other way around since shrews can go b4 cerb and destroy them b4 they can gate and attack.. ya demon has range but if de has 4 stack 9 shrew with tactics. then demon is screwed. That is the only faction i dread facing in pvp with my lvl 10 demon ^^ |

one strategy that I know of against shrews is splitting your hell horse and attack them on first turn (need 'tactics'). Put cerberi on one big stack and keep them from harm. Mistress / succubi will need to attack the remaining shrews. That usually works for me :p |
@xakno: You played well there, the only thing is that you have to know how to take retal. Not only do you have to stand in the correct space, you also have to attack the correct "part" of the dragon.
D d X X
D D R X
X X D d
X X D D
If you take retal from space R, you have to attack position d on either of the black dragons for them to hit each other. I am not completely certain about this, but I think it does make a difference. |
for xakno:
a simple advice.... ask for hunt help :P |
for qulows
you have right, the position of retal was wrong
i didnt know "correct part" and sure this make a difference
for elfmaniac
lol
:) |
@46, i have tried that strategy b4, but shrew go before hells and kill em before they can be used to pwn shrews, succs dont have the power to succesfuly kill those pesky 16 hp shrews. |
@xakno
I loved how many times you were able to make dragons hit each other .. and yeah .. with some practice you'll know how to make draconic breath work for you instead of against you when you hit the right spots as qulows mentioned :) |
@akz, slayerofall, and dedengkot
I met with a DE who used tactics .. here's my setup and how the battle went on! ;)

Just as an FYI, I lost my internet connection during the battle for some time .. you'll see that obvious in useless waits in the middle of the battle.
BTW, notice both the single spawns managed to gate successfully! :D |
i have a lvl6 demon and i want to raise other faction skill points. can u guys pls. tell me which factions would be tough for demons in higher lvls(lvl10 and above) so that i raise fsp in them. my personal choice are de and necro. any other?? |
barbs and elves, but then i would prefer barbs, because you need high fl for elve, so final answer barb :P, and maybe d elf yh |
Hmm barbs would be good. will think about elves later. |
@ToP: You have been very lucky with the setup of that DE. And he surely could have played a lot better.
This is me trying the tactic of Dede, total failure: https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=499716413<=-1 Might have been a different story if I got luck on the horsies, but still, it feels like a waste to lose them so early :s. |
@Fos:
That DE kicked you really hard it seems XD You did one fatal mistake in that battle Fos: putting your cerb up front. I know sacrificing HH seems like a big sacrifice to make, but actually it makes sense if you consider how loosing shrews would mean to a DE. 2 keys to this strategy are to finish shrews ASAP (with HH and mistress) and to keep cerbs alive. After shrews' gone (and cerb still intact, more or less), the rest of the game would be easier to win.
Here's one example :p

I'd have to agree with dedengkot, Fos .. your cerbs were exposed :) .. in my setup I have shielded my cerbs and mistresses .. and they were the reason I won, not luck! :P |
Okay, I agree, might DE can be a pain in the ... against demon...
I try now this striving speed build, but does not seems to be worth it for me... |
This one went a lot better: https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=499728389<=-1 I know it was only a de6, but still a much better tactic :D |
