I've always thought that the participants' entries are processed in the order that they "enter", barring the rule that you cannot meet the same opponent twice.
But earlier I was the 2nd person to enter, and there were 5 of us. After everything was processed, I wasn't placed into combat. I looked at the 4 players who were, and none of them had met me before. So why wasn't I placed? | Completely random except for cannot meet the same opponent twice.
I believe the rule is applied after random matching. So it's possible that the players who are kicked out of the process could have fought each other. |
