And there we have it - 2 guys who rose above all the petty nit-picks, set aside 'differences' in their opinion to a topic and gotten fun and enjoyment out of it.
No bashing each other (except for a few friendly 'punches' here and there), no retaliatory actions and personal attacks against someone who don't share their own views. No ill-feelings.
Much can be learned here. :) | And then there are the cases when someone won't let something go and continues to insult others in their personal information.
Then when a remedy is sought from a moderator, a Moderator can apparently simply choose to find unacceptable excuses to do nothing because that player is a member of their military clan.
Because of this this unsatisfactory situation, I have taken to using similar "observations" in my own personal information. Please feel free to peruse it.
Have Fun
Grunge | i wanna punch you
Judging from the battle, I think what he really meant was, "I wanna punch your fist with my face." :D | Then when a remedy is sought from a moderator, a Moderator can apparently simply choose to find unacceptable excuses to do nothing because that player is a member of their military clan.
Last time I checked, there are more than one FORUMS moderator. So if you do not find satisfaction with a certain moderator's action, isn't it simple enough to look for another moderator's opinion?

Who decides on unacceptable excuses? You?
To openly post in the forums and suggest that a Moderator is biased due to his affiliations is a serious accusation is against the rules. Surely for someone who judge others on rule breaks, one should not break the rules himself.
If you feel that a moderator has not perform his duties, there is a rule for that -
5.2. A moderator can be wrong. If you suspect he or she is, c.f. par.1.5.
1.5. Moderator's actions can be disputed by putting in an application to the game Secretary (thread link and detailed description of the application cause required).
I suggest before you post in the forums of a Moderator not performing his duties in accordance to your opinion of how it should be done, you should first abide by the rules yourself. Using the forums as an avenue for your allegations, and/or settling private issues, is not the best solution available.
2.6. The forum is not designed for personal discussions. If your messages do not concern other players, use private mail instead.
Bear in mind that though you can send private mails to a Moderator, a moderator is not obligated to reply, as is often stated very clearly by a Moderator of your military clan.
Kindly refrain from hijacking someone's topic for your own personal agenda, and stay on topic.
Take this as a warning. | To openly post in the forums and suggest that a Moderator is biased due to his affiliations is a serious accusation is against the rules. Surely for someone who judge others on rule breaks, one should not break the rules himself.
Please show me the rule that says this.

I have done so, but we all know that little is ever done from mails sent to secretary.

I tried this method, but the moderator in question blacklisted me. The excuse given was that he had too much other stuff to do to continue discussing such stuff with me. Surely if this is the case such a busy player should not have become a moderator in the first place?
Grunge | Please show me the rule that says this.
I already did.

If for whatever reasons, the Secretary does not reply, it does not give you the right to post such allegations in the forums. Surely you know this?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but afaik,
A FORUMS moderator moderates the forums, and is not obligated to reply to private mails.
A Sage moderates the Q&A section, and is not obligated to reply to private mails.
I do believe a Moderator/Keeper from your military clan has made this very clear. Why don't you ask him?
But we digress, can a Sage please look into these posts and stop any further off-topic posts. Thanks. | BTW, post # 25 is definitely off-topic. I was responding to that as it seemed appropriate given the subject change.
Kindly refrain from hijacking someone's topic for your own personal agenda, and stay on topic.
E tu Brute? Or are Moderators immune to Forum rules?
Grunge | Slight mistake. Post #28 was supposed to reference post #22, not post # 25.

Ironic how this has subtly shifted back on topic, namely what rule break is this.
I already did.

I'm sorry, but you stated To openly post in the forums and suggest that a Moderator is biased due to his affiliations is a serious accusation is against the rules.. What you have "shown" is that Moderators can be wrong (5.2) and the correct way that Moderators action should be disputed (which I am not disputing - more irony?). There is nothing in what you posted that suggesting that a Moderator may be biased is against the rules. In fact Forum Rule 5.2 actually supports this very possibility.
It is my personal opinion that Moderators should be very aware of the possibility of conflict of interest. Because it is a matter of fact that when dealing with friends and associates, there is the very real possibility of a bias in favour of those players, even if it is not necessarily a conscious one.
Grunge | Or are Moderators immune to Forum rules well, you are on los where all members are 90% untouchable to rules and anybody who say a word against em got penaltized or blocked, so it quite fun you start whine about somethink like that while yourself being untouchable to everythink :x and los mod is unbanning himself rofl.If we start go offtopic lets go good then:) | Naapa dear, as your well-wisher i suggest that you don't drag LoS into this.
For post #20 oh common Naviron guests may not have any right to complain but guests are not forbidden to discuss or gossip as much as they wish to among themselves.(in forum & in PM respectively) :p
Have fun (^.^) | naapa, you are right to remind this but as said no action but only rules... Please :)) | There might be a slight oversight happening here, but... when you are invited in someone's house, that's what you are: invited, a guest. If they offer you a chair to sit on, then you'll happily sit on it.
Do not think that if you sit on it long enough it becomes yours or you have *any* rights to it whatsoever! The host can request the chair from you at any time, and they might very well offer you no explanation at all. Just as well as they can throw you out of their own house with no reason at all (and there is nothing wrong with it...).
imagine this scenario, in a nation some rule the poeple. but they can't rule without the people. the people pay the taxes so that rulers can rule the nation.
the so called houses are build by individual people so they have the right but a nation?? the nation is not build by individual rulers. the nation is built by people. u r bound to be angry when rulers take ur money and throw u out or when they make promises and take money but never meet the promises!!
in the case of this game we r charged taxes in almost all transactions we do. so we do have right to know what happens here!!
a nation should be by the poeple for the poeple!!
in the games info it is given that....
it is a free online service from gamers, for gamers.
so the conclusion is
in a nation people matter
and in this game we matter...........
i want to ask a question to naviron, u said that
Just as well as they can throw you out of their own house with no reason at all (and there is nothing wrong with it...).
now can the so called 'administration house' run without us???
Don't forget you've made an account here to play the game and have fun. Not to acquire any power/position/privilege in this house. Now go get some fun out of it!...
we are not trying to get any power/position/privilege. we just want the right to know what goes on here!! |
