a mass spell is a 4*4 area spell and only holy and darkness spells can be a mass spell. But you need to have the talent to use mass spell |

mass spells are holy/darkness spells that now affect all targets in a region 4/5 costing more mana
there are chaos spells however ... spikes ice ring fireball meteorite rain that affect an area dealing damage to anyone in it |

Some Darkness spells cover a 5x5 area, though all Holy spells cover 4x4 areas. All mass spells when cast consume double the normal mana and your hero gains his turn twice as fast (like if he did a "wait" action) when casting a mass spell. To do mass spells you need to get the appropriate talents as well. |
