The forum prevents advertising our products/services as the best in the game server. But is it ok if we advertise it as 'one of the best'?
Eg.
Buy my ________ service worth just __________ gold. It is one of the best in the server. |

Not recommend, especially in the title, because of
2. Thread headers in this branch must fit the following standard:

Listing any other features than directed by the standard is forbidden.

My opinion is that rule 2.2 exists to prevent possible misrepresentations. Since even usual "sales talk" or "puffs" are forbidden in the trade forum of this game, then I don't see any reason how reducing the level of the claim by adding the words "one of the" helps to mitigate the act because such statements are still potentially false when other players read it, even if they were true at the time of posting.
I think the aim of rule 2.2 is to eliminate all forms of statements that may induce other players to buy the item, except for the bare essentials such as basic item information and price. |
It's not OK to refer to it as 'one of the best' either, unless you are talking about something standard, like your efficiency (for example, if you have 90% repair efficiency then of course it's one of the best, since there can't be any higher, but this assumes there won't be any update on smithing's efficiency).
What the rules aim to do is that you won't have any missleading thread (at any momment in the future) that refers to a specific period's facts which are no longer valid. This means that you shouldn't compare your services with others' at all. If your advertising is objectively refered to itself as the best, then it's ok, if it refers to itself as the best compared to the rest of the guys then it's unacceptable, both as the title and a message. Kinda complicated, hope you get what I mean. |
You could probably put "maximum level possible" in your post (not title).
e.g. for 5x12% weapon enchanting etc.
But not 100% sure so dont depend on just my opinion in this. |
