Did not think previous answers very clear so,
For 80 diamonds you can buy entry into the Thieve's Guild (You do not get the invite in your inventory).
When you achieve TG level 5, as part of the reward you will receive a Thieve's Guild Invite (TGI) in your inventory.
Recent sales of TGI's on the market and through trade forums have been in the region of 1 million gold upwards. Price will never go above 1.2 million gold (as this is the price to buy diamonds in RoH and gain direct entry to guild).
