i bid for an object but instanly, they say u have been outbidden by another player.
how can that be?
it was less than a sec |
where do you see sek?:) |
Instant raising of bids on the market - is not a 'cheat!', but the pecularity of auction mechanics instead. You can check it here: https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=27 |
The person that you tried to outbid actually put in a much higher bid. However, it showed only the amount required to place him as the highest bidder. When you tried to outbid him, your amount must have been lower than his actual bid, so the game instantly raise his bid to outbid you. |
When placing a bid, you can bid more than the minimum increase.
In that case the system will automatically bid for the bidder later if someone places a lower bid.
Lets look at an example:
There is a sword with a current bid of 3000.
Player A bids 5000 gold on it. The current bid is then 3030, the maximum bid by player A is 5000. If the sword sells now, it will sell for 3030.
Player B also wants the sword and bids 4000. The current bid is now 4000.
System immediately bids for player A, outbidding player B. The current bid from player A is now 4040. The maximum bid by player A is still 5000. If the sword sells now, it will sell for 4040.
Lets say player B still wants the sword. So, player B bids 5010. This will outbid the maximum bid by player A of 5000. The current bid is now 5020 by player B.
One more thing, you cannot know what the maximum bid by another player is, only the current bid. |
The current bid is now 5020 by player B.
I meant to say 5010. Same as
So, player B bids 5010. |
