Once an account is blocked it should stay blocked.
The block is a final punishments for the most severe cheating or repeat offenders. The admins also have the option to give fines etc.
I will never have any sympathy for cheats though. Their actions spoil the game for everyone else and the sooner they are all permanently driven from the server the better in my opinion. |
in a community there are always people that think being smart is the way to survive. But where rules are set, there is a reason for them: it is what allows all memebers of said community to coexist.
Blocking players is of course annoying for those who get caught, and that has to be so. Understand that there are over 100 times more players than blockers. It is impossible to check on all all the time, not even with reports.
The only way to make sure people will force themselves to stay on the right path is by making strong examples with that minority that get caught. The message is easy: you can try, and maybe even be successful.
But know that if you do get caught, you will pay for good.

when players have to be blocked, just block for certain time, then ublock them, if anything wrong happen again, then block forever .. :)

All these people saying 1st time block for certain time, that's not good enough. People will decide the financial risk of cheating is good enough, if the only cost is that they are blocked for some time.
Here's an example. Run a 20 man financial assist ring, all working and farming towards 1 character. You might get away with it forever. If you get caught,take the block. While blocked create 2 legal multis and still play the game.

Blocking permanently isn't wise IMHO.
I'd make blocking for a limited time, duration depending on the crime.
There should be blocks like: 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, ..., 1 year, 10 years, etc.
Aditionally, blocked players should get some gold penalty (amount depends on the crime).
And also give player an option to reduce the duration by spending diamonds (for example, 1 day = 1 diamond). Maybe give an option to play right now, but the price per day is tripled (for example, if he is blocked and want to play today for the next 24 hours, it will cost him 3 diamonds).
Blocked players should be able to log in, but:
- no transfer
- no enroll
- no fight
- no card game
- no chat
- no forum posts
- not able to send mails
- but he can buy diamonds (he can't be ambushed if he moves on map) |

Blocking for a long period is useless in my opinion, since it has the same result as a permanent ban. Or do you really think that after one full year you remember that you played this game once? I doubt that heavily.
Instead of blocking the character at full block them in transfers instead. So they won't be able to buy/sell arts at market or transfer money to multis and fine them with an amount that equals their cheating amount.
So they can play on, but can never ever cheat again :)
Maybe don't block them from receiving stuff, since with the new money system its easy to go bankrupt and stay there for a long time without help. |

I think cheater's accounts ought to be permanently deleted, not blocked.

Depends on size of rules infraction, but since we already have gold penalty as a form to punish and apply rules, we actually don't need anything else.
But overall, it would be much fair if a player has a second chance, after all everyone could make a mistake, plus most of beginners doesn't read any rule after all, and some of them got permanent blocked instead of getting a gold penalty first...
In my opinion, we should have a temporary block, and if this singular player broke any rules again, he'll get a permanent block on next time.
Of course, all gold penalty will still as they're right now. The only change will be, before a permanent block, they'll have a temporary block, just one and that's it. |
Bit obvious, but forget to mention.
Only because someone is getting a temporary block, doesn't mean he won't will take a fine penalty.
He'll take both, gold penalty plus temporary block. |
what if someone get blocked suddenly without any clarification frm admin?i know this is rare but who know maybe someday u will find a players tht got blocked without any particular reason.
