no another combats of this type between them, I won the first one. The second one is a little bit weaker, isn't it? :) And it shouldn't be of course. This isn't first time I see it. (or maybe few more anchos make the second one stronger... really? :o] )

Similar thing has happened to me, except with MG

for some reason the game thinks that upgraded units are much stronger than the non upgraded.
So, yes the anchorites have much more value to the caravan strength.
this is just based on my personal observations.
