its only possible when some spell was casted meanwhile, look at last sentence:
"Incorporeal:
Physical attacks against this creature are only 50% likely to be successful. However, there is no way that three consecutive hits or three consecutive misses take place on every particular stack. After two consecutive hits a compulsory miss will occur, and vice versa. Incorporeal does not concern magical attacks against this creature. Any magic (except the "Raise dead" spell) applied to this creature also resets the consecutive hits & misses counter to 0." |

question was not for Incorporeal ability. it like maximum how many times a phantom of apparations\ghost will miss.. it is like one ability and one spell mixing together (Incorporeal + phantom ) |

be careful: on that link, the ones that get 3 misses are phantoms, not apparitions.
I know, description says "however phantom is incorporeal, thus only having 50% chances to get hit", but there might be a confusion there between the ability and the characteristic of the spell. In other words, a phantom may have 50% chances of miss all the time, whereas a ghost/apparition have the compulsory 3rd swap. It may also be that the phantom is bugged, of course :)
So far, i have never seen a case of ghost or apparition getting 3 consecutives. Often owner thought so because he/she didn't calculate a non hit spell (ANY spell other than rise will reset your counter, necros! So even if a mass area spell is cast in your ghost's tile, that will qualify to reset the counter!!).
However, if anybody has a link to such an event i would gladly watch it :) |

Yes, there is 2 layers of Miss chance. I have tested this before. It first checks the miss chance for being a Phantom, then assuming it hit, checks the miss chance of being a Apparition.
But a hit on any one layer that results in a miss on the other layer does not reset the count of the previous layer.
The max misses so far possible with a Phantom Apparition is 4. |
