Hi all, I have a 'problem'.
I am a Thief from the old times, and got my TGI when was possible to rent from another players.
In that times we had 2 weeks to reach Thieves Guild lv 2, and to do that we did ambushes with full ap.
Well, now (years later) I am almost at Thieves Guild lv 6, and never did an ambush with min ap.
My querie is: Is a good idea start now? I know I will lost a lot of fights, but my main fear is if this will not become possible, or something like that (Ex.: in 10 ambushes I win only one).
What do you think? |
If all your ambush were done in full AP then is possible in 30 ambush you lost 30.
My last ambush to reach TG5 were done in full AP and now after lots of looses I win 2 of my last 20 ambush.
Anyway i got 0,3-0,5 fsp everytime I loose ^^ |
If you are going to do minimum AP TG you will have to lose a lot to get back to winning some again. I can't be certain how much you will need to lose to get to a level when you are winning again, but I think it would be well worth it. If you set aside a month where you just lose, say 5 or 6 a day then that's 150-180 losses in the month and perhaps after that you may have more luck with winning them frequently.
It's up to you really. Do you want to save gold? Because min AP will certainly allow you to do that. But you will have to have a fair bit of patience to get it to a level where you can win them I would imagine. |
I think it is never too late to start thieving in min ap to get better caravans, but since you played your last all in more than min ap I think this will be horrible for you losing so many in a row...
nevertheless in my opinion everyone should do thieving in min ap so when you feel for some action you will win many in full ap for sure. I have to admit I started thieving again in july as a lvl4 thief always in min ap and now am close tg6. sometimes I only won like 4 out of 20 but there were few times I won like 8 in a row and that is worth it all playing in min ap^^
so just start playing in min ap and show jedi-like patience ;) |

i can just speek for myself...
i did full ap ambushes till TG 2 and started min AP than. mainly to save the gold ofc. i can remember that it was very, very frustrating doin all this ambushes and keep loosing all the time. but i think it was worth it. i had a short look in my combat log but didnt find the right spot.
it was between CL 9 and 10, if u want to take a look yourself. i remember that i started to not care anymore about the "unbeatible caravans" and some day it happend that i was able to win again. never fought with 1 ap more than required since :)
will be taff but complitly worth it in the end
