I'd say that you need to split your question: between level 5 and 7, your main advantage weapon will be the imps/spawn that will drain mana from opponent wizards and allow you to destroy quite easily their troops.
So that will be a faction you will be at ease against -provided both are on the same level at with the same kind of gear.
Also because of gating you will be able to block many shooter-based players, so the full bows setup will suffer (a bit harder with elves due to their high initiative)
Of course, not all elves or knight use this setup so you will have to pick your enemies ;)
If you fight a low mana necro, you may get advantage as well. Their troops have quite low ini, therefore, unless you get really unlucky on ghosts, you will get a dominating position very soon at the beginning of combat.
From lvl 8, there are a few changes in most factions that will make what said less real.
For one, wizards get a second casting troop, and start having quite enough mana to make the drain useless. Hell horses are less useful against mechanicals or undead, while genies and necros can start poisoning you. So from then on, I believe all faction get pretty much the same chances, when using comparable gear and setups. |

it`s hard to beat wizards and elves, cause demons aren`t that good in archery.
though, try to use gating as often as possible.
if you`re fighting magi make sure that you take some spawns and the rest put in horned demons, otherwise spawns will die after one magic arrow. |
