| For help, you can refer to don97's post. As concerning is it worth your time and gold, it isn't. You just mostly get 700 gold for completing the quests. And completing the quest isn't an easy task. It takes loads of luck along with some mathematical calculations. It took me about 20 trials to win the quest! and many a times, I felt like asking for help on how to do it (other than the link above), but when I finally completed the quest, it gave me a sense of satisfaction and it was worth more than my time or gold I received. Go for it. You won't regret doing it. I prefer having a calculator while doing the current quest. Also, do listen to the advisor's advice. They may seem unimportant, but they are really helpful.
