up to you to math the difference you had with your FL 8 as DE in attack, defence and init given by your racial then you can add this amount of attack, defence and init by using more ARTS to balance this lack of bonus and become a virtual Knight FL8
IMO little by little you will be able to win fights and then becoming stronger without loosing too much arts...
