I am wondering how long a play can be in AFK when pve. Sometimes it seems quite long, but sometimes I am kicked out with -2 luck penalty and zero faction point.

As i remember, battle cant't last longer than 8 hours. But, in PVE you'll afk after 5 hours of being inactive.

AFAIK, the battle will be till 8 hours, after which the timer will start (Like the one in PvP).

But, in PVE you'll afk after 5 hours of being inactive.
Not true Mate, I've had a battle of 8hours, after which the timer started, as stated above.

For nonin: PvE is short for Player versus Environment, where the player battles against a computer-controlled enemy rather than a player-controlled enemy.

For eg. Hunts (Not Hunt Assists), MGs, Caravans etc.
