AuthorEconomical value of equips
hi i wanted to ask which one is more economical selling items after they wear out or repairing them at 80% for 75% rep cost and using them again(i plan to use equips for long time and hence cost per fight is very important to me) can someone please also pm me the cost per battle of equips i list here which i plan to buy soon and which one would be more eco repairing or selling

wiz hat
hauberk
leather boots

also if someone willing to sell me any of 90% repaired item for 60% of og cost (or 150% of repair cost) pls pm me ill buy em off.

Sorry, calculating the cost per battle after repairing is not so simple, thus I'll leave the maths to you. However, I can guarantee you, repairing is a better choice than selling at 0 durability. How many repairs in total before selling is still up to you to find out.

For shop arts repairing will give you cat's tears(and only for 1-3 repairs), IMHO better to enroll for some time without fights and you'll don't have to bother.

There is exception, if you want to help some smith (helping others improves your karma), but when you have right to ask him to provide calculations for you.

Also exception for all NON shop arts, they are always better to repair to some point.

If you think that the price to buy them is better than repairing (in most cases it's not), then don't repair non-shop arts.
Here are approximate equivalents for repaired vs shop arts.
These are approximations that are accurate for most regular artifacts.
The percentages are most accurate for artifacts whose maximum durability is still full. For example a Reprisal Sword that's 0/40. As the maximum durability drops the repairs become less effective.

90% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 79% cost.
80% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 70% cost.
70% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 61% cost.
60% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 51% cost.
50% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 42% cost.
40% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 34% cost.
30% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 25% cost.
20% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 16% cost.
10% durability repair breaks about even with shop arts at 7% cost.
I can guarantee you, repairing is a better choice than selling at 0 durability

Really? Are you sure you don't want to retract that statement? According to Flour's chart, 80% repair for 75% cost is no bargain.

Considering the additional 1% of transferring the money for repair, and the fact that a repaired item is worth less (e.g. 0/39 sword is worth less than 0/40 sword), and the inconvenience and the wait time, I wouldn't do the repair unless it's at least 5% less than the break-even cost (so I wouldn't do 80% repair unless it's 65% cost or less).
