I started at 0 a little while ago and have done 7 mercs in a row to get 3.5 reputation
However over all those mercs i havnt had any elements dropped, i think thats kinda........... wrong!!! how can it be? theres a 20% chance so i should get 2 every 10 times
well i have had 0 out of 10 then therefore i should do three more and recieve 2...
Its annoying me.............

| Dude, I'm currently on a streak of 15 quests without element. My last drop was on quest 1488. Trust me, 7 in a row is not rare at all. |
| It does seem a bit unusual. Just so we can dispel any doubt about bugs, has anyone gotten elements since the anniversary updates? Does the drop rate still seem normal for anyone? |

| It's all probability. If you make 1 000 000 quests the drop rate would indeed be 20 %. But when you made so few quests, you can't expect to have 20% |
BTW, probabilities and statistics are two slightly different things. Probability is the luck, while statistics is the expected one.
People tend to explain probabilities with statistics, as the expected value for some tries. The problem is that statistics can only confirm the probability if and only if you have infinite number of samples (tries).
Well ... if you can study infinity, then the least you'd worry about would be your MG drop rate !! |
