Starting with
i just want to know the easiest faction i can defeat as a wizard at lvl 3 |
Also, Monsters at wizard level 6 and fsp 4 would i be capable of killing them? Most other mercs i am able to do |
Tier 1 monsters should be fine. Not sure about the others. |

It's hard to beat barbarian as wizard at level 10.
But that fight is not the best wizard can do. Wizard is good in duels only when both players wear full AP, otherwise spells are useless.
And golems were not even upgraded... |
can wizards,even beat any faction as a matter of fact at level 10?(except may be knights) Even i had hard time on my main account with them,in spite of mod.golems D: |
I can beat any faction except for barb (especially if they are smart) and sometimes I had some problems with demons, but they are beatable.
Maybe barb can be defeated with more tactics, this is my last battle against one.

Perhaps I should have put my troops together at start, even if I don't know how that would help, especially because barb has that aoe strike with hero.
Or maybe I should have cast stoneskin or gargos, but that would cost one spell turn. And I had pretty much big defence, i wasn't glass cannon. So yes, they are pretty hard to beat.
I think they are good even against other factions.

I have a question: Do you think dominion of fire would be a viable option at level 10? Like having a hybrid build. I know Kusika used to do this, but at higher levels.. |
tbi, why you dont raise your genies to buy you some time? |
genies will have -40% hp so orcs will kill them in seconds. I think a fireball gives me more time than a stack of low hp genies. Or at least I end up with more xp than by keep raising without any chance to win. |
maybe one thing to do would be to lower mana and get more spell power, but that won't change too much I think.. |

Im only lvl 9 so I Probably dont fully grasp how the game changes for a wiz at LVL 10. On level 8 I struggled with a barb and lost repeatedly. I kept making little changes and eventually could beat him. After watching your battle I would try taking more genies and less Golems. The golems didnt do much for you. Use genies in stacks of 3-4 to dark magic as much as they can before they die. Delay and poison can be game changing. If the orcs are split into smaller stacks then dark magic Wolves and maybe rocs depending on how things go. Magic Mirror did nothing for you in that battle. Sorcery would make a big difference for you. Also dont use fireball all the time. A big stack of wolves was in the corner with your gargs. You fireballed the wolves and ogres. The ogres had to move twice before they could hit you. Better to nuke the wolves w lightning and get rid of their 3 attacks. You can run from ogres with gargs later if you need to. I would be interested to see another combat with some changes. I think with some tweaking you will be able to kill Barbs. |

I realize this is level 8, but maybe will give you some ideas. If you look in my combat log you will see this same Barb Beat me like a rented mule over and over again. I kept wanting to fight him so I could get better and eventually get him. |
You can take a look at my combat log too going back to the minor tourney (I don't play much right now). The factions I have the most trouble with are demon (which I usually lose if the demon is smart enough to avoid fireball) and elf (which I still can win). Knights and necros in any build are a piece of cake. Might DE and barbs are harder. Mage DEs are pretty easy.
In the minor tourney, I beat:
Knights: 3/3
Necros: 2/2
Barb: 3/3 (although one or two didn't play well)
Mage DE: 1/1
Might DE: 0/1
Elf: 3/5
Demon: 1/3 |

That was a CG and I didn't know I will play against a barb, otherwise I wouldn't have taken magic mirror.
Modern golems are good damage takers, wolves didn't kill them even when they were a full stack. Perhaps I will try to split genies in 3 stacks and see how that works. The exchange genies:golems is ~1:3 so golems give me 1.8 times more hp per exchange (1 golem has 24 hp, 1 genie has 40 hp), while golems have 34 def and genies have 38 def.
Yes, perhaps a lightning would have been better there.

https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=31719317 - this is an interesting fight, it was also very close; I think he had mistaken by splitting wolves because you hit them with fireball twice; maybe I could also try keeping gargos and golems together, perhaps I will block some triple attacks from wolves with golems.

As for elves and might DE, I saw they defeated you when you didn't have enough defense (later I saw you raised your defense to 17). With enough defense, elves can be beaten (e.g. https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=35045529) and might DE also (e.g. https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=35890052 - this is my last battle, perhaps he could have played better, but defense really caused him some problems). |

Erudition or chaos makes no difference at your level. Pick nature when you'll face golems and that's it. |
