Wrong, it is.
That's, actually, their counter lizards. Lizards won't decrease their defence with charge, and will deal even less damage to shieldguards if charge, because of shield wall, as for blackbear riders, it'll always deal the same damage, from 1 square or 6. | My bad, found out about the ability just now.
Yes, Liz Charge decrease def, instead of increasing attack, so it is useless against them.
