AuthorRoulette addiction
Seriously?
I gambled AND lost a lot of money in HWM and a bit here, but... that really doesn't mean that i'm am an addicted person in real life.
People, don't get paranoid.

It's not real money. Their addiction to roulette is no worse than your (our) addiction to Lords of War and Money.
Lol, thanks for noticing, syrian. XD
bump
Roulette is real profitable, its just a matter of opinion .
I myself have 400k profit and I am quite happy with that.

Tell us your secret :P

I'll be happy gaining 400k+ too.

Joke apart, I still think that roulette is one of the worst way to make gold. And I was addicted until I got that script with "hide roulette" option.

Can you mail it to me?
I wanna leave it but find it tempting.
In a way roulette might be one of the best parts of LWM. I have seen lots (yes, very many indeed) of players lose everything they previously collected with countless of enrolls. In the end they often have big loans that they can't possibly return. Then they quit playing.

So, why did I start with the statement that it might be a good part of LWM. It is simply that those players might understand that gambling in real life is not a good way to earn money. Anything that might prevent a single human from the tragedy of gambling in real life is a good thing.

Tip for anyone not playing: Never loan anything to anyone with more then 20k in roulette bets.

Well said, good on you mate :)

and if I may add a thought to that... players who are able to actually kick the habit here, could also do it in real life... (whatever their habits may be)
For _Sworks_: LOL! We all have our ways of kicking the habit but that is a pretty ingenious one. :P

For STBs: Well said, mate. However, from the standpoint of the developers and the relatively less considerate of our players, the cons far outweigh the pros as (no offense intended), they probably don't think that nurturing a better world with greater self-control is one of the purposes of making this game. XD Either way, I believe you do have a nice point, oh-so-caring STBs.
Reverse of STB's statement could be:

players might understand that killing, lightning, fireballing others, while using a lot of time learning strategies, percentages, prices and numbers to do that might be a good way to become strong, respected and appreciated in real life.

:D

I don't see how that could be a reverse of his statement at all...

It is a very good script, but, obviously, if you don't have willpower (dunno if this is the right word, in my main language it sounds ok) you will never quit =)
Well. I'm happy for you. :)
willpower (dunno if this is the right word, in my main language it sounds ok)

thats the right word (:
never take gaming seriously with life.....
people are so different in virtual world compared to real world!!
That is true to a certain extent, elfmaniac. However, character traits and flaws may influence the way we act in a game and can even reflect our character in real life. If a player goes around the game scamming people repeatedly, that player probably isn't a very nice person in real life either and may take advantage of someone else's trust or naivety. Conversely, the way people act in games may have an influence on their actions, character or habits in real life.
