Can 1 ask for hunt assistant and let the assisting player do no damage in hunt!
The assisting player will only tank.
If so, Does is count as staged combat? |
You can.
Does is count as staged combat? No. |
LOL then why wold you ask for assistance in first place?
And no it wont be called staged combat imo since it was your hunt in first place. |
Yes, you can. There is no rules against it. If you want, you can also lose intentionally for the AI.
And, it is good cause the other gains 0.1 HG points, more chance to drop a art and you still can have fun and a nice conversation :) |
an art*

not so fast, guys!
although the "staged combats" rule is intented for PvP combats:
3.16. Staged combats leading one of the parties to losing a priori will be punished for. A staged combat by definition is one where any one of the parties or party members intentionally loses to the other for any reason different from having technical problems with access to the game. Instigation to losing a combat and promising to lose a combat is also forbidden.
you must bear in mind then when fighting against AI with another human player by your side, a deliberate loss (causing your team-mate to lose too) may be considered bad sportmanhip:
¤ Staged combats, paid-for combats, deliberate loses, bad sportsmanship, giveaway combats.
- first infringement, 5,000 gold
- second infringement, 20,000 gold
- third infringement, 50,000 gold
- fourth infringement = character block.
There is possibility of premature block in exceptional cases.
just keep that in mind. |
But, the player who do nothing will be punished only if the other report, right? |

it does not count as staged combat; however, if you lose, and the player that tried to win reports the "deliberate loser", this last guy gets a penalty, so:
But, the player who do nothing will be punished only if the other report, right?
yes, he will get a penalty. |
and to elaborate on the word "only" of your question:
Local rules of Complaints and applications - Violations in tavern and battles:
Complaints on insults (swearing, flood, threats, rudeness) in battles and tavern are accepted ONLY from victim and participants of that card game/combat.
complaints on insults must be made by an involved party; anything else may be reported by anyone. |
before you guys think stoter's trying to be a wise-ass funny guy again (... and again failing at it ghehe...)
just a thought to talk about:
two players make a hunting deal: one tanks, the other one attacks.
obviously, the tank takes the most damage, and loses.
the tank reports the other player, and that other player gets a penalty, because a deliberate loss (causing your team-mate to lose too) may be considered bad sportmanhip.
isn't THE TANK showing bad sportsmanship then? (agreeing to take the damage and then complaining about it) |
the tank reports the other player
on what grounds? it doesn't seem in such case that the attacker is to blame (unless he made bad moves to intentionally lose)
also keep in mind Rule 14 of C&A (tavern and battles):
"14. Game Administration is not an instrument of vengeance on your offender. "
the tank may very well find himself under the hammer for a stupid accusation. |
ah yes, syrian, you're right.. I read your post #9 too quickly (thought tanker reporting instead of attacker)... sorry, my bad...
but even then: kinda lame for the attacker to report, when (s)he would have the best FSP/EXP ratio, at the tanker's expense (or am I wrong again here?)
good point btw, that Rule 14... |
but even then: kinda lame for the attacker to report, when (s)he would have the best FSP/EXP ratio, at the tanker's expense (or am I wrong again here?)
it's the hard truth: just as in real life, you may find "lame" ppl in LWM too. and if it so happens that you join a hunt just to tank, and the battle goes sour and your partner decides to unleash his rage by reporting you, the rules are on his side.
so, and back to the topic question:
Can 1 ask for hunt assistant and let the assisting player do no damage in hunt!
The assisting player will only tank.
If so, Does is count as staged combat?
no, it's not a staged combat; but i would advise all to make such strategies clear in the battle chat as the hunt begins to avoid other sort of complications. |
I never though it would lead that far!!
At first, I was clear.
And then, I confused again :(
So I want to explain more specifically
First
1) I will ask hunt (not all but one from my friend or one who would be my friend
2) I Asked him to tank only and make no damage
>>It means I'm responsible for win/lose
>>So I am absolutely not to complain if something goes wrong
That means Tanker only have a chance of complain but we discussed earlier for this.So He also will not complain.
I don't know if some other who check our battle complain or not
3) We both agreed for this and whether lose or win, both of us wouldn't complain.
>> So this won't take as stage combats. Right? ((MY main Question)) |

No it wont be counted as staged battle though you should allow him to win if you alone are unable to beat them, IMO. If you ONLY want him to tank whether lose or win you should post it on your profile about his so Admins don't find anything wrong and don't flinch. |
your friend is a generous one. spending art for 0 sp and 0.1 hg. |
Thank.
I guess there's no other problem in such case.
So I close it.
If something's wrong in this case, PM me.
Thank u all
