Author | Golems (immune to delay) can get delay from mayhem ?! |
I thought that mayhem is a set of spells (delay included) and that golems will get all he spells from mayhem without delay, as they are immune to it. But they get delay as well:

Is this a glitch or this normal? |
It is normal.

"Immune to delay".
This creature is unaffected by the 'Delay' spell.
Mayhem is just an ability, not a set of spells.
Though there is an exception with infected zombies and termagants. |
The ability's description specifically does NOT mention the delay spell. Yes, the effects are partially similar (mayhem does more than reducing initiative); the causes are different. In HoMM5, this ability is called Crippling Wound. Mayhem means the same thing (inflicting bodily injury to cripple or mutilate the victim). Basically, the spearmen can hit in such a way that would cripple their opponents. Even golems can be crippled if the spear is jammed in the right joints. |
Though there is an exception with infected zombies and termagants.
i dont think infected zombies are immune to mayhem because they are affected by delay |
He means that the termagants' Immune to Weakness ability renders them impervious to the attack reduction effect of the zombies' Infected Strike ability. |
I used to think of abilities as spells that don't consume mana. Now I see that they are actually 2 different things. Thanks for clarifying it. |
