I read somewhere that a thief could ask a buddy to go back and forth along his ambush route to increase chances of an ambush.
My questions are;
a) Is this legal E.g. Does it come under rule 2.3
b) If it is legal then is it legal for a multi to do it
c) If (b) is legal what should you do if you ambush your multi

A) This is legal and does not violate the rules - TaQQ does it all the time.
B) Yes - TaQQ does it with their multi.
C) If you ambush your multi you are allowed to battle them as long as your highest level char wins; it is allowed since it does not violate the rules, this is the only place where Main Vs Multi is not punishable. |
the best way to do this is with a buddy that is in the same military clan , so you don't ambush the same player al the time. since you can't join a mc with your multi it isn't smart to trigger the ambush with that multi. I didn't answered your questions cause i don't know if it's legal or not, but i gave you some advice.

| I do it all the time to, when Kunochi is online during the night, he'll walk in my ambush as a fellow MC partner so the caravan triger reacts and I don't need to wait like 10 mins for a thief.. More like 1 - 2 mins, even at 04.00 when there are like 100 people online :). |
a) it does not fall under 2.3 rule
b) it is legal for a multi to do it if multi is 1 lvl lower or higher than main
c) it is not legal if your multi is of same CL as it can fall under:
3.8.1. Participation of several characters played from one computer in one combat is prohibited.

but i advise you to find a buddy that is in the same military clan , so you don't ambush the same player all the time.
for b and c, i do not sure but i advise you to avoid it since it may lead to a block or fined if it is illegal |
