Author | how can I do? |
hi all, please take a look at my transfer log:
09-22-12 12:31: Acquired item: "Light mithril coif [E7A7W7F7]" [69/70] for 20000 gold from Norka as lot #3385770
I think Norka want post that artifact on the market at price = 200.000 gold, but he make a mistake of missing one number 0, he put price = 20.000 gold
luckily, I buy it
Now I can sell it at least 160.000 gold, but I think Norka is very poor, unlucky
All of you, how do you think if I give Norka a chance to take it back?
THINK ABOUT THE WAY TO BECOME A GOOD PLAYER
ps: last few month, I made the same mistake. when I posted artifact on the market, I put the price = 18.500 instead of 28.500, somebody bought it immediately. Anh then, I give him a letter asking him let me take it back. He never reply my letter. | You should send it back for the full price you paid for it, 20,000 + tax.
The price of the artifact differs greatly from the actual price, therefore, you could risk a penalty if you don't.
So yes, I think you should send it back. | no, dizble, he post on the market, so anyone can buy it legally | By your logic, I could buy a TGI for 10k from the market and that would be fair, even if the player made a mistake. Wrong.
Here is one example of a player making a mistake and the buyer getting penalised the difference.

01-08-11 07:33: Acquired item: "Thief invitation" [1/1] for 104750 gold from vladim as lot #2109968
01-13-11 05:52: Player was imposed a penalty of 595200 gold. // Minimal acceptable price of TGI is 700k gold. The seller will be refunded with this gold.
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1915372 - Another example where the transaction was reversed.
It is not always the case that you will be penalised if you mistakenly put an item on the market underpriced. But in the case where the price is significantly different from the actual value, you risk getting a penalty. | maybe you are right, but I think that is not a penalty, it is only the way that admin keep the minimum price. So admin transfer more money from the buyer to the seller
It is not penalty because the buyer dont do anything wrong, dont do any mistake, dont do anything illegal
In case of TGI, the minimun price = 700k
The buyer have to pay total 700k, the he can sell TGI more than 1000k, so he can earn so much money
But I dont know about the enchanter artifact's minimum price
In my case, if the admin transfer more my money to him, I still gain much more profit from selling this artifact
But I dont want to do like that, I dont need money at all,
you understand ? | I understand. But at the same time, if you chose to keep it and received a penalty for it, the admins do not have to transfer the gold to the seller. It is the seller's fault, so there is no reason they should be recompensated. In that case, you would still make a profit, yes, but the seller will miss out.
My personal reason for having you send it back is because it seems to me the morally right thing to do ;) That is, assuming the seller asks for it back at all. | I sent a letter to him already | All of you, how do you think if I give Norka a chance to take it back?
no, dizble, he post on the market, so anyone can buy it legally
I'm so excited, this is the first time I meet a Schizophrenic person. Even if it's through the internet !
(joke)
On topic now, if you are so greedy about gold, you could sell the artifact back to him for 120k gold. This way it would be as if you acquired the item for 100k gold (half the market price) and sold it again for full price. Absolutely legal.
On the other hand, having 3.6 million gold and wanting to keep an item worth 0.2 million (0.2/3.6 = 1/18 of your total gold) is pure greed. If you like it, make sure you use the gold before you get blocked or leave the game.
Good Luck ! | "a chance to take it back" mean the same price (20.000 gold)
I will not gain profit | If I were you, I would give it back for the same amount of gold. And maybe, just maybe, a small profit for my trouble (like 1%). | I had the same case.
I bought a longbow worth 100k for 3k and spent 3k on repair.
CBS said min price would be 70k so i was penaltied 62k.
Then I sold the bow for 110k = 40k profit :) | SirM0rphius: 1% of 20.000 is not a matter
REd-Pois0n:
It not a penalty, because the gold is transfered from the buyer to the seller
The penalty : gold transfer to the admin, you know.
I send a letter to him, I tell him to transfer the artifact back to him without profit
But he didn't reply my letter...
so I wait | It's done, I transfer it to him
09-24-12 15:24: Transferred item(s): 'Light mithril coif [E7A7W7F7]' [69/70] to Norka . Transaction price: 20000 Gold, Commission: 200 | Now you BECOME A GOOD PLAYER :) | for masaru_kd2:
1% of 20.000 is not a matter
It's not a matter of money. You helped a player and so you deserve a re compensation for from that player ;) | well just think how did you feel when he wouldn't give you your money back ? | closed by Lord Dizbe (2012-09-24 23:01:02) |
