what is the formula for calculating general progress coefficient ? |
GPC = 0.713*CL + 1.111*FL + 1.25*HG + 1.25*LG + 0.667*GG + 1.43*TG + 1.67*MG |
wow..simple formula :P |
if you think this is difficult... *sigh* .. [Player banned by moderator Khellendros until 2012-10-10 12:07:16 // Provocation] |
Hi,
Can anyone throw some light on the rational behind assigning different weightage to different guilds.
I am asking because i feel TG should have more weitage than MG. also LG and HG having same weightage seems a bit odd ...
Just in case someone knows, please do let me know.
Regards,
Yuvika.
Have a nice day!! |
GPC is no official number, the creator of the guildofheroes.ru came up with it i think. In the formule FL is the biggest factor, because if you have someone with TG6 or TG0 it would only differ 8.6 points. But if someone plays multiple factions and has four of them at seven while another player has only one at nine the difference is 21.1 points
(the FL is the total sum of all faction levels (so only equal to your current fl if all others are 0)). |

Might be because TGI can be bough through donation also, and g.p.c. focuses on how the characters are doing without the donations. |
But, why Gamblers guild matters, and no Commanders guild in the formula, weird. |

I believe it is because, at the time when the formula was made up, Commander guild wasn't yet implemented. Gambler guild, on the other side, existed since the beginning of time (= when game started :p ), so you find it in the formula.
All in all, i join those that say this formula is funny, but pretty useless. It will not indicate a strenght or skill, just.. a nice arithmetic calculation ;) |
You can argue about the weight of each guild, but I think it indicates strength of each hero much better than "just" experience.
So personally I would rather have this as an indicator for top players than "just" experience as we have now. Could be even better if CG was included and their was more weight on higher factions levels than lower levels, since they are so much more expensive (fsp wise) and give more bonus than the first levels. |

Same can be said for combat level, hunter guild, labor guild, etc. as well.
GPC = 0.713*CL + 1.111*FL + 1.25*HG + 1.25*LG + 0.667*GG + 1.43*TG + 1.67*MG
An exponential can be used.
For example:
GPC = [(0.713*CL)^1.5 + (1.111*FL)^1.5 + (1.25*HG)^1.5 + (1.25*LG)^1.5 + (0.667*GG)^1.5 + (1.43*TG)^1.5 + (1.67*MG)^1.5 + (2*CG)^1.5] / 100
CG is given higher weight due it being unavailable till level 9 and its difficulty in raising it. I also added a "/100" to the overall formula so that high GPCs won't be as big especially with the additions to the formula. |
ame can be said for combat level, hunter guild, labor guild, etc. as well.
Still not the same since people cannot choose another HG, LG etc.
While they can choose more FL
I think this rewards people with multi build in too high degree |
* We covered that CG is not counted atm, but forgot to mention that neither is combat level 16+17 and dwarf faction points.
Maybe we will get something simalar but up to date in LITWIN page
p.s. I cannot wait for him to finish, going to be great when it is up and running :o) |
1.111*FL
It means every single faction will add this factor? Then somebody with fsl 5 have less points than somebody with 3 factions fsl 2?
Let's see, by this formula somebody with 280 fsp has less points than somebody with 150 fsp? Well, I can't agree with that... |
for Vengeful:
The game itself does encourage building up multiple factions. Getting the first 1-2 faction levels is much easier than another faction level beyond 9. The only issue is the cost of the castles (especially for higher combat levels).
for Khellendros:
From your own words and the words of many others here, people felt that the higher faction levels merit greater weight because each level requires more and more fsp.
In case you misread my updated formula, the variable "FL" isn't a total of all faction levels. Each faction is separately calculated. For example knight level 6 and dwarf level 3 player:
(1.111*6)^1.5 + (1.111*3)^1.5
While in the current formula it is just:
1.111*9
In my formula while the early factions are still rewarded under the old formula, it is the higher faction levels that get the real bonus from the exponential. |
When creating the formula, the creator makes sure that a player with CL14, FL9, HG8, LG8, GG15, TG7, MG6 will get perfect 10 in each category. Of course he may have overlooked the multiple faction issue. |
numb3r... |
i wanted the formula . thnx :) |
