They buy from cheapest factory and sell at a price slightly over 1.01*[the price they bought it]. |
do mind that all facilities do not buy resources at the same price.

Some actually lose gold when selling factory items. Why would they do this?
1)they didn't know about commission or incorrectly did their math
2)typo
3)bought the wrong item or no longer need it
4)bought the item because they needed to sell resources or machinery parts
5)bought the item because they wanted/needed the enroll slot
In cases 4 and 5 if you account for the profit gained from increased wages or from selling res/parts, then people can make money even if they sell arts at very low prices. |
for post 4:
4) & 5) is common for some locations which they can buy art with worth 1k-4k gold and sell or enroll in that plant.later sold that bought art in market with 0-10 gold loss.
long back i seen one person keep on selling Leather Armour with less than factory price :P, i asked him why he doing this(stupid me)and i got an answer that he suffer loss for enrolling leather plant.(good\smart answer)

beware when you do this: make sure the facility has enough resources to start production. otherwise you'll be stuck with the art and no enrolling code for anyone.
if the facility does not have enough resources for prod, you may see which are at fault, calculate if the gold you're giving the facility covers your wage + the resource(s); then (1) get the resources, (2)buy the item, (3)sell the resources and finally (4) enroll.
these steps usually take too long if you do not have a mount... it's up to you to see if the few extra gold pieces are worth the trouble. |

to calculate commission.
Price being either the price item was bought at (to know how much seller got out of it) or price that one plans to sell item at (to calculate the real financial benefit), since commission is not added to the price, but removed from it. |
