can anyone tell me what is the best faction.
I am very confused about it
Please Help me |
No absolute best faction. Advantages and disadvantages to all.
Best is whatever you're most skilled at in using. Stick with your current faction if you're confused. It is cheaper, better, and easier to not change your faction. |
Thanks for the Advice. |
Uberstrike dont bother with these questions here... everyone at lowm has a favorite answer to this question which is
'Any Faction except the one you are in'
I think its wrong.. worst faction is demon according to me and best is debatable between knight, elf followed by necro and DE. Wizzies and dwarf are somewhere in between and barb i dont really know... i guess they are godly till lv 8 and then their power plummets... this is my view.. people may differ and please do differ.. |
Well, I agree with Pantheon but I guess I cannot 100% agree with what HunkKing has written here. Yes, everyone has their own vies, but I'll tell you what each faction has to offer according to me so that you can decide.
Knight: They are strong in both melee as well as ranged combat types. I'd recommend this faction if you don't have much experience in game as it can be easily handled.
Dark Elf: A great combination of magic and strength. They don't have good ranged units, so if you are looking for a faction that can kill at a distance, this is not for you, but their melee strength makes up for everything.
Elves: A highly ranged-based tactically game-play is what this faction offers in most of the levels, the lower ones especially. They have comparatively weaker melee troops and a higher cost of castle construction.
Dwarf: They don't have any killer troops, all their troops are pretty much moderate in their abilities, but runes are their strength and can change any game to their advantage. A very interesting faction but a lot of tactical game play requires. Focuses mainly on melee kind of game play.
Barbarian: They are the kind of ruthless killing machines. Their lack of magic is overcome with brute force. Though you won't get to taste magic with this faction.
Necromancer: Their main strength especially lays with raising their troops again and again especially at lower combat levels. Though they don't have very strong troops, constantly raising necro can be a nightmare.
Demons: Majority of the players consider this faction to be the weakest, but I'd say that this faction is the one which requires the most skills and has a very tactical gameplay. Choose this faction only if you have quite some experience in the game.
The above are my own viewpoints, so consider them accordingly... |
Any faction can be the best; BUT definitely not the one you are playing now. ;) |
It might be easier if you can define "best faction". What are your goals? How do you want to play? Vlaer's list is more or less right. There are debatable points and obviously it's not complete. There are extensive faction topics in the general forum.
If you want to know about my personal opinion on "best faction", then I just play whatever I feel like. I've played all the factions and I still can't say there is one faction that's the best at any time and situation. |
I know playing demon requires lot of skill but that is just another way of saying they are weak and you need to take extra care to play with them. I believe they are weak because they and dwarves are the only one who suck at long range battles ( wizards got magic, gremmies and magi and DE have shrews and magic and poisoners). Even non shooting ogre magi are compensated by shooter cyclops. Demon only have succubi( slow and low numbers) and their only caster is pit demon which cannot shoot so that often puts them in a tight spot. And i agree demons are good for ST and group battles where they can afford to gate but in PVP duels and MG they cannot afford to waste a turn gating every creature. So unless you put a lot of points on magic I say do not go for a demon especially below level 9 |
for Dwarkadish:
The demon faction is not purely based on brute power unlike most other factions. It requires a huge skill to master it.
I do not completely agree about the dwarf thing. It might be true at your CL, but their melee troops make up for shooter's absence. For instance once they get their priests at lvl 8, ursary with evasion is a killer machine. |
All faction has it pros and cons. as you can see, in faction statistics, demons is the lowest(7.5%) some people may say -demon is so weak, demon is so easy to defeat. - But look, i'm a demon, i have start using this faction since i was CL1, and i didn't feel any weak using this demon :)
Just like Pantheon "Best is whatever you're most skilled at in using. Stick with your current faction if you're confused. It is cheaper, better, and easier to not change your faction." <<< He is very right, keep using the faction you have chosen so you can focus on your FSP |
Oh, almost forgot, if you going to use demon, you need to have high FSP and keep practicing gating.
*"practice gating? you kiddin me?" alot people think that gating is a easy thing to do, but i don't. sometimes, in the 1st turn, i use my spawns take retail on rocs, 2nd turn, gated units *poof* from the hell, 3rd turn, crap, accidentally blocked my horse :( |
Killer-dash I am not saying Dwarf is bad.. There patriachs are the best casters I feel and Ursary is amazing too..I am just saying they are weak in the shooting arena but compensate for it with their melee and runes combination |
killer_dash: dwarf with holy build can be dead sexy :P,try cast bless on brawlers. |
