i have the talent wisdom
Hero can learn level 3 spells without the required magic school talents.
But I am unable to use Fireball which is a lvl 3 chyos spell.
What am i doing wrong ? |
first, you need to build the Magic Guild level 3 (available at CL10... sorry).
then, you can pick either "Wisdom" or "Basic chaos magic" and you'll be able to cast fireball. |

To cast a level 3 spell, you both need the appropriate talent AND magic Guild 3 |
It makes a difference of talent points required. While sorcery talents need 7 or 8 points , the chaos wheel requires 10 points per talent selected.
In some type of combats faster spells with sorcery talents are useful than high damage chaos talents. |

magic guilds unlock the spells, but talents allow to actually "learn" them. In other words, you need both in order to cast a lvl 3 spell. The advantage, for a wizard, is to have a wider variety of spells to chose from (all nature, holy, chaos lvl 3 spells). The backdraft is that none of them will be really powerful, every talent increasing its own school of magic.
For example, you may use this talent to get fireball and summon phantom, and then decide to invest a few points in holy magic to increase your troops strenght. This strategy will work as long as you have lots of mana and SP, of course. |
