AuthorRanger's challenges
I see this option in the drop down menu when I hover my mouse over the Battles tab. What is it? How does a ranger battle get listed there? And can I join that battle without a mount if I am in that location if I am a ranger?
ok lets start with what is that that is rogue who need help and that battle will be 2 of you+Computer vs 2 enemy(Higher RG stronger enemys(they are hard anyway xD) when ranger get to location he can pick if he want to battle alone or with mate so he can ask for help and battle go there yes you can join that battle without a mount....

It seems you can choose in the drop down menu to do it alone or with company. I think if you choose with company, your name will appear in that page, and some other ranger may help you. Not sure if this work in this way.

Thats right.... But it kinda suck i see its much easier to win alone then with help....Its good for high RG so some low RG join and they get weaker enemys but i just don,t see why i would ask for help to some big RG join and we have strong enemys :P And if that guy is russian you can,t play very effective Comp play very very good and he is very very strong. It just look like not much army but hero have strong and effective spells army have awsome stats....
let's be a bit more objective ;)

When you play a ranger mission, once arrived at destination, you are given the option to ask for help, like you would do in hunt.

Difference is, if you get help, your opponent will too, effectively making it into a 3 (you, your helpmate and the ranger) Vs 2.

Now, you need to know that opponents are like caravans: the more you win, the harder they get, and the more you loose, the weaker they get. And they get harder much faster than they get weaker :). And they will always have full arts on (although it may be a weaker full arts at the beginning).

So what's the point of doing it 2 vs 2?
Answer: strategy.
Two players coordinating their attacks will have greater chances to beat hard opponents than one will do. Don't count on the ranger, as it usually commit suicide even before you had time to tell him what to do. But a friend's troop may definitely change the course of battle, even if opponent is twice as big.

On the other side, if you play with a person that you don't know, and that doesn't really care about you, well, it will be twice as hard.. :/
One note if you help someone if you guys win Both get gold not only him you get the same amount....
its easy if you know what the computer will attack, unlike versing humans that have a strategy most of the time the AI will attack certain creatures 1st, shooters then usually the highest initive creature..i could me mistaken though thats how it seems.
Jehova well i have feeling that rangers play even batter then players any thief i beated was easy but pc is hard
